Today, we will take a quick look at the Enjoywood M4, galvo fiber laser engraver. This machine is identical to the Atomstack M4 laser marking machine, and we are sure that they share the same internals. It is very fast and very precise and it can engrave all types of metal and plastic materials. It can also be used for surface cleaning and rust removal! It is advertized as a fiber laser engraver, but in this article we are going to put it to the test to see what it can really do and to see if this thing really is a fiber laser enrgaver as it definitely is a lot smaller and cheaper than a comparable galvo fiber laser marking machine. We will also show you some tricks for using the included software.

I do believe I just got rickrolled! Nicely played. 2:07
😂 Finally someone noticed! This was made in my previous video of the ComMarker B4:)
@1:07 marco reps did a teardown of the m4. it's a dpss laser, not a fiber laser. not as versatile as a fiber laser, but still quite capable. @7:45 ABS produces cyanide when lasing. so yeah, good fume extraction is absolutely required.

I've looked everywhere, can it engrave on silicone rubber wrist bands?
I haven't tested it, but fiber lasers can do it, so myabe this one can too.
Hi, can this machine interact with a system database. For example, if I want to assign numbers to different objects with the use of this machine and they are all registered on the database in a system, can it confirm if a number already exists and prompts me to provide another number?
It can engrave a sequence of words defined in csv file.
@JT Makes It OK. Please permit me to give this scenario. I have a database containing barcodes that need to be engraved on different objects. Some of these barcodes have been updated and are not in use on the objects but are still in the database. Can this machine detect the duplicates on the object while communicating with the system database?
Can I able to engrave in Copper, Silver and gold with this laser machine?
Yes, you should be able to engrave all these metals.
does it work on wood?
No. Fiber lasers don't work on wood
Can it do crystal glass trophies?
It cannot engrave glass directly. Maybe if painting it black first. But I haven't tried it.
@@JTMakesIt Cause with my longer 10watt it only engraves very light ( after primed with black).
UV Fibre is used for glass
Is it the same of Atomstack M4? Thanks!
Identical
Which Laser can Engrave Zinc Alloy with Electroplated Coating on a Budget?
This one can.
@@JTMakesIt Do you think it's better than the Laser Pecker 2?
@@stockbatch4109 much better for metal engravigs. Laser Pecker is for wood, this one is for metal.
@@JTMakesIt I ended up buying a Laser Pecker 3 as it is supposed to be for metals. It engraves the Zinc Electroplated Buckles however I noticed that on a gold, silver or brass colored surface the engraving is not coming out Black. Do I need to use a spray like "Brilliance" or "Cermark"?
Can I able to engrave in Copper, Silver and gold with this laser machine?
Imported designs issue. I work with AutoCAD and CorelDRAW everyday and perhaps this is your issue. There are two ways a vector line is drawn; straight and curve polylines and splines which is a line with control points stretching it like a rubber band. When I export a drawing as DXF and open it in AutoCAD instead of the polyline straights and curves as what I'd want its all @#$% splines.
With a complex shape such as what you are trying to send to the laser I suspect the processer cannot "do the math" needed to handle all those splines. Just my guess.
Great info! Thanks! That could very likely be the cause of the problem!
not work on silver, gold, and copper . need to be correct 20w, not 10w
It works on all metal. But it doesn't make as deep engravings as 20W true fiber lasers
può fare delle scritte su legno ?
No. Fiber lasers don't work on wood.
Can it engrave on sterling silver and .999 Fine silver???
I haven't tested silver, but I think fiber laser like this should be able to engrave it.
DOES IT HAVE A MOBILE APP TO USE IT FOR. LIKE LASERPECKER MOBILE APP. I DONT LIKE BEING ON COMPUTERS TO DO THE LASER ENGRAVING. I LIKE TO DO EVERYTHING ON MY PHONE. DONT WANT TO BE COOPED UP BEHIND A COMPUTER ALL DAY.
I don't think it has it. If you want mobile app then check out Laser Pecker
NOT FOR $1500.00 ....MIGHT AS WELL GET THE COM MARKER.....
No doubt, it's a vastly superior machine and it's really a fiber. It's also 20W which is pretty effective. You'll find 3d coins made by these that are very nice. This is out of the useful scope for this m4. Substantial more bang for the buck compared to the Enjoywood m4. What makes a fiber is that is the light amplification part occurs during lasing.
You can also adjust frequency and pulse width. You can't do that with this m4, which he did state. Good video nevertheless. I would be upset if I got one of these thinking it was a fiber.
You keep calling this a fiber laser. Its NOT. Its a DSSP laser. Big difference.
True, this is why the title says that this is alternative to fiber lasers. In the video I call it fiber for the sake of simplicity.
@@JTMakesIt The only connection with most fibers is they operate at the same frequency. If someone wanted a fiber and picked up this one because you simplified it.. you basically lied to them for simplicity sake. I'd be upset if I relied on this to purchase a fiber.
How is >$1000 considered low budget? And why does the script make fun of Chinese products? China is manufacturer to the world.
1000$ is not a lot for a galvo infrared laser. Anything remotely similar costs minimum twice as much. I didn't make fun of the software. It just has some untranslated warnings that are in Chinese. I personally like chinese products
Low Budget🤣🤣🤣🤣
Find me a cheaper 2W infrared galvo laser:)
@@JTMakesIt Im more a DIY guy i dont spend money like that, i rather build a cnc with that kind of money
