    I’ve shown this video to several folks and they still say you can’t put sanding sealer on wax. I’ve followed your instructions though and made my own handle and it works! Nice one Jimmy. 😉

    Ash is often used because it grows straight, coppicers could easily manage it to grow into nice long pieces. It was often used for spears too, and also blackened to harden it.

    Actually both of them woods are used due to there shock absorption properties. Hence the best bats are made from ash.

I must look further into these colours. All of my tools are pink lol. Does the product come in shades of pink? Thanks in advance! Cheri

    Great looking results. The results appear to be much brighter and distinct than with liming waxes.

    Maybe a dumb question but could this be done to a much smaller non symmetrical piece by hand? Do I absolutely need a fast spinning lathe

      For context it's about 22 inches and a somewhat thin though firm piece of ash. No more than 25 mm thick

    Good looking handle. Do you have a video that shows the best way to attach your quick release units. I'm wondering if they hold the tool as securely as if it was pressed into a properly sized hole that is drilled into the wood.

    • @jimmyclewes
      @jimmyclewes  Před 7 lety

      Hi mate , I use 2 part epoxy to attaché the units to the handle.
      I have not had a problem myself .

      Robert Cornelius
      It feels and looks better with the grain scorched and you can make the handle any shape, length or size you want
