Greetings. My son and I are going to Big Bear the 24th-26th Sept. I hear trout would be what to expect yes? We are rookies for sure, but we always have fun. Depth suggestions at this time of year and areas of suggestion on the lake too? Do they have a boat rental also? Thank you so much, and anyone is welcome to respond. Enjoyed the video and tips.
Use PowerBait around the depths of 15-25 feet. If you are from a boat, research into the "Slip Bobber setup" and take your boat to drift from about the dam down the middle of the lake..... If you are from the shore, I would fish near the dam on the rocky shoreline. Utilizing a Carolina rig with a longer 2-3 foot leader and Powerbait so it floats off the bottom! 2 best techniques in Big bear year around! Good Luck my friend!

Can you list all the gears, setups and baits you used? I’m goin to big bear in a few weeks.
Slip bobber, quarter ounce weight, #4lb leader, treble hook, Powerbait. Also on the troll we used needle fish spoons.

Iv been on vacation here in big bear done boats jet ski and kayaking i want to fish but i heard its not good in the summer beacuse of all the boats scared fish away ? Is this true?
Although pressure from boatesr may have affect on fishing spots... If the fish are hungry they will eat! Try fishing sometime with the techniques in the video! I have caught many fish at Big bear even when the lake is busy.
