I feel like the stunt choreographers, the editors, and the director deserve all the praise for this scene because I can’t imagine how difficult it is to pull off a fight scene where both parties are played by the same actor
I love the fact that Lucifer and Michael are both respectively the second and third most powerful being in the DC universe but they fight as two guys having a beef in a bar.
@@oliverstearns5350 I miss battles like in Smallville. Back then, even when a super human was holding back you could tell that you don't want to get into a fight with them. Here I feel like if you have a gun and can dodge some punches then you could actually make them bleed for a second.
@@AmitCinematicUniverse well I mean look at battles such as the "Hello Drug Dealers" battle or when the robbers invade Lux. Lucifer annihilates them completely without even a second thought. Or when Luci and Ammenadial fight the grunts at the end of season 1. In fights like this, the two players are on more even ground so showcases of strength arent as prevalent. If you want a more accurate version of what it's like when two celestials fight look at the Remi V Ammenadial fight, you can hear the power of the blows and you can see just how much they move when struck. Heck, they punch through a concrete column, that's not easy. This isn't a full flight, this is just two brothers squabbling.
@@oliverstearns5350 yeah, and also this fight was just intentionally made to be funny. The other fights have a bit more scale to them, and are taken more srsly
I have to say, Tom Ellis playing the two roles was fantastic. He has serious acting skills. I mean the scene when he was talking to God about Father Frank's death was gold. That scene deserved an award on its own. But the downside to playing twins, is that the budget was limited, so the only way to portray both brothers is with camera angles. The stunt men that acted as doubles, were stressing holding their heads so you can't see their faces, and it's so obvious that it kinda hurts the feel of the scene. At least for me
"Why didn't he use his devil face against him?" Well i don't think it worked on him either. He's a freaking archangel after all, it worked for only weak minded normal humans. And also Michael's powers based on fears of everyone around him, he sensing fears, unlike Lucifer sensing desires or lusts. So i think he can handle with it easily. Lol
I've always wondered what hit counts as that from a celestial being and thus injures For example, a punch from another angel would obviously hurt lucifer But what about if they tackle to the ground but it's the piano that hits lucifer? That would hurt too right? What about a random kitchen knife, that would hurt right? Cause it was stabbed by another angel or demon etc. What about a gun, something even less direct? Something remotely triggered by an angel, but itself would not hurt lucifer? Hmmmmmmmm.
I hate this fight scene. It doesn't look like two mighty angels fighting to the death like Lucifer and Amenediel in Season one. It looks more like two drunk guys brawling
@@alevelthreemage344 exactly. Atleast someone gets it. Instead of an celestial fight, its depicted as two brothers fighting which I find hilarious 😂 (even though there were parts to remind you that it was two celestials fighting but I think it was meant to be funny)
Most of the angels have that gray/black colour Michael has however lucifer who is also known as the brightest Angel in heaven always had pure white wings. Hope this helped!
I’m a Christian and I never thought I would actually be rooting for the devil to win against Michael the archangel
same man, same!
Why is Michael not in hell
Blasphemer

Yeah... They way they pull this off where you can't see the stand in actors at all, and they make it look completely natural is bloody amazing.
I agree but one person is a stunt double that's why you dont really see their faces together
I love the fact that Lucifer and Michael are both respectively the second and third most powerful being in the DC universe but they fight as two guys having a beef in a bar.
This fight was a great depiction of siblings fighting until the slicing of course lol
They’re just scrambling and grabbing each other while hitting one another with pieces of the broken Piano lol.
When someone tell me Lucifer is not good 0:29
Am I the only one who found this fight kinda funny or anyone else 😁
Its old school for sure. I was hoping for something similar to Amenadiel vs Remy.
Stop hitting yourself
Definitely funny and reminds me of how siblings fight, I should know I use to watch my brothers fight like them well minus the blade across the face
yea actually
Me too
Can you imagine how difficult this was to film?
I always expect the battles between angels in this show to have greater scales to them.
they purposefully keep their full power in check. I think that had god not shown up in the 5x08 we would have seen a true celestial fight.

Yeah, those battles are nice, but I still feel underwhelmed by most battles in this show.

Michael actually fits dc comic lucifer
_Maybe is was Micheal is the DC comics_
Great warriors and they fight just like any other brothers
I imagine Tom having a blast shooting this episode 😆

Ha! Lucifer carved him a new one, Nice.
This just looks like a normal sibling fight
Lucifer is on another level.

I wonder if this was the war that broke out in heaven 🤔 terrifying😭

2 archangels are fighting so its possible that the ground is shaking
yeah that kinda sucks
Its a fight between 2 brothers no matter what they are its a fight between brothers thats how brothers fight

Lucifer realizes he doesn't have the deadly weapon...hehehehe..hence he chooses to fight
This is like watching me and my twin fight😂 anyone with a brother can relate to this
Kinda wish supernatural had at least one or two bad ass battles like this
Boyka Looking at this might Think he can bet the father these two are talking about, 🌺
that's what u call brother dog fighting lol
I'm a Satanist and never thought I'd be rooting for Michael the Archangel to win against the lucifer

yo what music is this
How come the devil has white wings and the angel has black wings?

Lucifer is also an angel
They should take their fighting lessons from superman and zod
Lucifer will always win in a fight 😊😈💪
Agree 💪
0:16 not Lucifer

Kinda funny
