This was 10 years ago. Still remains my favorite audition/performance in X Factor Philippines. KZ is a complete package.

I still vividly remember the first time I heard KZ sing - it was in a small hall at our university. It was before her XFactor days, and I didn't know who she was back then. However, when it was her turn to sing, the crowd was excited. I was outside the hall at the time as I wasn't interested in the event anymore, but when I heard her voice, I found myself going back inside and was amazed by her singing style.
The next time I saw her was on our TV screen during her audition episode. I was surprised and excited for her, not only because we had the same alma mater, but also because I knew she would make it - she truly deserves it! Way to go, KZ! ✨

I just watched her Rolling in the deep performance in international competition last night for the first time, and watching this made me speechless. She even addressed Jake Zyrus (Charice Pempengco) as Ma'am 🤯 Imagine watching this and Kz's rolling in the deep in international competition for the first time within a short interval will truly blow your mind.
I have been to even small cities in the Philippines and I swear every band I have ever heard can sing as great or even greater than the original singers. Filipinos are musically inclined. Great singers, great dancers, great musicians.
