This is fake. Like many similar videos from Southeast Asia about restorations. The rust is not real. They just increase views on CZcams.

clearly not something that was just found sitting somewhere. And "restored" in a manner that is completely incorrect. Rotor surfaces and sliding surfaces of forks are never painted.
Scrape and paint. Breaks my heart that they don't replace parts where they're all apart so they don't have to go in later. Painted rotors? Same sprocket? Painted forks??

Idk man.. these videos never make sense. Its like they take a decent bike or machine and spray it with some type of fast growing rust chemical. Then let it sit outside for a month and say its super old.

I think they could do a better more interesting video on the steps it took to make it look that rusted... I'd like to point out when they took the tank off for a split second you can see it's in perfect condition underneath .... just sayin.
Tanks are usually surprisingly rust free on the bottom side.
Nowhere in the video did it sho× them removing the tank not to mention the frame and e erything underneath it was just as rusty and crappy as the rest of the bike

That sure looks like them taking the tank off.... and the tank looks pretty clean underneath .... but the frame is totally rusted where the tank covered it... how can the frame be "rusted" directly under the tank but the bottom of the tank clean.... not to mention if you look close the tires are perfect in places... no rot... with that much rust and how long it would take to get that "rusty" the tires would be rotted

At 25.58 there is no Rust on the back of the Front Disc yet the other side is rusty beyond belief=painted on rust, Inside of the Subframe is the same also this is not a "BMW Racing Motorcycle" it's just a Street Machine

Сколько подобных видео смотрю и убеждаюсь, что все это искуственно старится! На вид, этому изделию лет около ста!!! А мотоцикл, можно сказать современный! И с чего бы он валялся на берегу реки, столько лет?! Подобных роликов тьма! И восстановление моделей-копий (все из одного водоема) и инструмент и зажигалки и.т.д.

I am pretty sure this is not a BMW bike. This is cheap Chinese bike.
You have to buy, or find somehow, many new rubber parts, o rings, ball bearings, cogwheels, gears, gaskets and some new screws. Also you shouldn t burn those parts until they get red, because you destroy their strengh and you shouldn t use the same disc brakes. This is a complete painting but not restoring and its not safe
@@noidontthinksolol yeah .. but they should use some fake new parts and packages, just for the video or some discription like "new brake discs". And don't burn parts. This is dangerous as an advice for a viewer and it plays with the law. Maybe is a deeper trick

I love how people just throw away a perfectly good motorbike in the bushes and let it rot and rust so youtubers can find them and restore them for 500K views. Weird how that is.
Another thing. The coating on all the hardware is being stripped to bare metal which will rust again. So it's not a proper restoration.
I guess it's just a prepped bike to generate clicks. The chrome inner tubes of the front fork are so heavily pitted, that they painted them silver. They will never be able work again at all. The front forks don't even move! There's no suspension! This is not a restoration, it's a shit show for dumb fucks on youtube.
At 24:56 observe the spinning wheel. It's totally off. Either the rim is fooked or the tyre isn't even correctly installed on it. That's just from a few secons I skipped almost the whole video. That's just a bait video for cheap CZcams money.

That’s the weirdest BMW I’ve ever seen and it’s hardly a racing bike as well, with lights and indicators it looks like a Chinese bike.
Let's see... no filler or sanding to smooth out surfaces on tank, fenders, etc. leaving every part in very rough condition; missed some of the paint on the frame; no new wheel bearings, left the brake rotors rough and just painted them which will destroy the brake pads; painted a rusty rear shock, did they rebuild the front forks? Probably not based on the quality of the rest of the build. They scraped the hell out of the black paint putting the forks back on. Etc. My opinion: You have a shop with more good machinery and tools than most other bike restorers I watch on CZcams. I would take the time to do the job right or don't do it at all. This build looks very poorly done. It was painful watching this one. Will not subscribe to the channel.
