as a basque-irish from South America I certainly feel a link to both traditions, it is therefore interesting to see this effort to build a bridge and make some Celtic Connections... from Alba and Eire to northern Spain and beyond (interesting initiative from Port TV, with the BBC and their peculiar humour the brits really gave a gift to the world) Y que bien que cuando se hable de Espana no se queden siempre pegados en el flamenco... ya que hay tanto mas para ofrecer! Puxa Asturies! Gora Euskal Herria! y que viva Al Andalus!

Que guapo ver a Xose Ambás cantando, me recuerda a cuando lo sacaban en la RTPA con la "Marquesina". Chapeau a los escoceses por tener interes en la cultura asturiana, y dar a conocer la gran diversidad que hay en España.

so beautiful, my paternal grandmother was from Asturias and used to sing songs like these! my maternal grandmother was Argentinian of French descent with her family being from Brittany so i watched that video too, so many memories of the records she used to play. Thanks for this video

Iberians are so different from the rest of europe. They are truly their own unique race.
No not really, they share a lot of genetic similarities with the rest of Europe which what makes them European. EEF and WHG DNA. Sure there have been a diverse range of cultures there but for the most part it’s been of indo-European stock. So while they are unique as with every other European ppls they are similar still. Don’t try to isolate them into a race. Besides Iberia is what the peninsula is called that doesn’t mean they’re Iberian all around. That term was given by the Greeks who settled along the eastern area. The rest was comprised of a Celtic element in the north west, amalgamating along the center into Celt Iberian. Plus an array of different groups throughout its history as with the rest of Europe.
