    I love the inkspot mug and vibrant colours. Love all your colour combos. I don't know how you manage to juggle work, kids, sport etc and still find time to make beautiful pots.

    Girl, you are simply a powerhouse. You are blowing it up in your studio, and you are growing like crazy. I am so happy for you. Crazing Schmazing… let people know and let them choose. Those pieces are gorgeous! Well done - congrats!

    Aubrey beautiful opening. Personally I’m fine with crazing. I read an interesting blog from Florian gatsby quite a while back. He produces deliberately crazed work. He made some solid arguments as to why it is not a concern. I’ve long since lost track of the article but the only thing I really worry about is pinholing and crawling. Love your little charms 😊 the fox and cow are adorable

      Thank you! He was the main person I thought of in regards to crazing. I will find the blog just so I’m fully equipped to explain crazing should a customer ask lol

    As long as the clay is covered , I wouldn't be concerned!

    Two kiln loads at once yay!! I love the ink spot mug!! Wow that’s soo cool!! I’ve always found that when you make sets of things that match they sell first for me! The river birch and black walnut is stunning!! Who knew it was green! Lol. How awesome that your brother knows how to throw as well!! The crazing debate drives me crazy!! When I was using BMix I had a ton of pots that crazed! Sometimes the exact same combo would crazy sometimes and not others. I hat the heck is up with that right? I was told by so many people that I shouldn’t sell crazed pieces but now I hear different things. So I think it comes down to preference.

    Great kiln opening! I remember checking out my sister in laws very expensive pottery from an upscale boutique and it was all crazed. It wasn’t when she bought it. It’s still cute, I personally don’t mind especially if you put the stuff in a dishwasher.

    Cool stuff Audrey! I love, love, love the charms! On the white spoon rest with the iron was on the rim, maybe either use flux or, if you want the stark line, use a sponge brush to apply so you get an even border. @Paula McCoy has some demos of using the foam brush for banding a rim. Too bad about that ivy bowl. I love the color! As for the crazing, if the clay is vitrified, my personal opinion is that the crazing doesn't matter. If the clay is not vitrified, even if there is no crazing, I don't sell because the piece can (and probably will) absorb moisture and can harbor bacteria. But I'm no expert. The matching mug and bowl sets are a great idea! Well done!

    The copper float that you dip with, is that in dipping form (you mixed the dry ingredients) or are you dipping from the container that is a brush on glaze? Thank you! I LOVE your work.

    Aubrey--- Lovely work! I do a fair amount of rim carving and altering--Curious: Did you attach the scalloping or start with a wide flange and carve back? I've don't it both ways.

    • @moreldesigns2674
      @moreldesigns2674  Před 2 měsíci

      I threw it with a wide flange then carved it out 😊I figured there would be a better chance of survival that way.

      @@moreldesigns2674 I agree. That was my experience as well. Any time I attach to the rim, no matter how careful I am to scratch and attach like crazy---something cracks or 'disconnects'. Thanks. Continued success.
