ISENGARD "Ember Steel" - F# 21 note Handpan (Concept Series: Lord of the Rings)

- F# Isengard 21 Note Handpan in Ember Steel.
The idea for this “concept” instrument came about while searching for new scales. Rather than sitting down to try and think of a new scale from scratch, I decided to use an existing piece of music as the inspiration. In this case it was the music composed by Howard Shore for The Lord Of The Rings films. Specifically the Rohan and Isengard theme(s).
I started by mapping out all the notes and chords used in the music and then arranged them into a Handpan scale, with a strong focus on ease of playability and sound quality.
The result is a completely new Handpan scale that ranges from B2, all the way up to C#6 spanning 21 notes. The careful arrangement of the scale allows the player to explore and create their own melodies with little effort.
The dimples are polished to Gold and there is some lettering etched around the Ding in the language of Mordor, which I will not utter here.
