I’ve been in a bit of a slump since January, but I’m reading Dave Grohl’s autobiography, which I’m LOVING, even though I’ve never ever heard a single ‘Foo Fighters’ song in my life. I’ve not even been watching my favourite BookTuber’s videos, but, I’ve started watching yours again, Gabby, and I’m feeling so much better, because you always bring a smile to everyone face and joy into so many peoples lives.

Mary was my top book of 2022, so no pressure for Nestlings. 😂 I hope I love it. I'm just glad all the TS tracks are together - when it's a double album, I rarely listen to the vault tracks. 🤫

1989 shook my LIFE. Not a huge TS fan, but that album came out as I was leaving high school and starting college 3000 miles away from home so it means so much to me, was a transformative time and that’s what I was listening to 💜

Gabby, you’re not gonna believe this I got on my Library website and it said that it wouldn’t have not been released yet so I got out and went on it again to hear the sample and it said it was available so I’m just now starting to read it!
My part of Washington it was 15°f when i took the kids to school. And high of 45.
Growing up in NY presented me with cultural opportunities unimaginable here and likely most everywhere else. Besides grand movie theaters and myriad museums there are libraries and churches galore! One year I spent pretty much every day at the main library on fifth Ave between 40th and 42d or the mid-Manhattan branch about two blocks southeast. Behind it is Bryant park, where hustles play chess for money and long lines snake from the discount ticket booths. Even the subway station is special, with one of those oval tunnels that allow you to hear whispers from its far side. Well, I hope you enjoy it once you get there, tho I don't expect to visit again anytime soon - thx!

Books with heavy youth themes always give me vampire vibes. Maybe 5+ years ago there was an in depth series on here about pop/cult culture over the decades. In the one about vampires throughout the decades focused on eternal youth in the late 90s/early 2000s. So you definitely read 2 vamp-adjacent books this vlog!

OK, so I’m really embarrassed…. As soon as you started talking about “Nestlings” I checked on Libby to see if it was available but it wasn’t. Then I went back into the app to see if I could listen to a sample and I thought it was available and checked it out immediately. After listening to the first two chapters I was confused, it didn’t sound anything like what you were describing…. I went back to the library app again and realized I had checked out “Mary” instead…. ❤❤Judy❤❤
I was shocked to learn that you're able to get books before the official release date at Barnes and Noble! That's obviously great, but when I worked at a bookstore, my boss would insist on everyone checking the release date before putting any new books on the shelves because the store has to pay a really high fine if you sell books even one day early 😮
Some books have strict release dates…others do not…
