- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was on Tuesday appointed the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha. Party leader KC Venugopal told the media that Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi wrote to the Pro-tem speaker Bhartruhari Mahtab and informed him about the appointment of Rahul Gandhi to the post.

@@karnanytcodm2715 It's surprising that even after a huge downfall from claiming 400 seats to winning only 240 seats, BJP supporters still think that Rahul Gandhi becoming PM is a dream. Don't forget that till date, the only political party to cross 400 seat margin on their own is congress and that time, BJP got only 2 seats. Even in this election, Rahul Gandhi won from two seats with a margin greater than Narendra Modi. So, don't take anything for granted. Just because NDA has majority at this moment, no one can say that the political framework won't change in next 2-3 years. So, don't show this kind of arrogant behavior. Just because of arrogance and over confidence, BJP leaders and their supporters like you saw this huge downfall.

And before 2014, Narendra Modi and entire BJP party came into power in the name of high inflation, dollar rate increase, unemployment.... They were telling people that UPA govt was unable to control the inflation and give employment.... And now when they are being asked the same question, they are telling us that inflation is natural, dollar rate increase is natural, and we can't give job to 140 crore people... Then why they made these things an issue in 2014? Only to come into power? Aren't all these things contradictory?
