Wilkinson WVS 60's Alnico V Single Coil Guitar Pickups for Stratoca
Material ：Alnico 5 Pickups
Neck : 6.3K 50mm
middle ：6.5K 50mm
bridge ：7.3K 52mm
Base ：Fiber sheet
wire ：1C Braided wire
place of origin ：Made in Korea
A very accurate replica of a 60s style pickup. Staggered polepieces with chamfered Alnico V magnets. Chamfering the polepieces focuses the magnetic field giving good highs but still allowing some mids to come through to stop the pickup sounding thin. Middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity. Bridge pickup is slightly overwound for better balance.

Great pickups these, got a set in my Vintage Thomas Blug, love the sound on them. Now ordered a set to replace my lace sensors in my 89 Strat Plus!

Cool. I have an 89 Strat plus as well with some original fender 75's in it. Too bright in this guitar so might try replacing them with these. How do you like them after replacing?

Where did you buy them? I saw that they sell them on Aliexpress but there are people saying that these Wilkinsons have a version made in China and Korea.
Hi thanks for watching. This is great pickups, I also have same set on my Strat Bullet. This one I bought it from Aliexpress & the other one from Lazada website but both from same strore in China called Musiclily. I think the one with Alnico made from Korea & the one with ceramic made in China. Cheers.

obrigado meu amigo, yes the original used to be a ceramic pickups. The differences now with Wilkinson is more smooth, more clear crystal, more soft, the old pickups was more aggressive &more higher output. I like this one better.

Are the poles on those pickups non-staggered? They look like it in your videos of these pickups but the stock photos and specs for the WVS pickups show that they're indeed staggered.

I think is same. Is that alnico V? As far as I know they only make a vintage & high output & both alnico V.

Is this a good upgrade for my strat to get close to SRV's tone????
Hi there, this pickups base on the 60's & not a hot output. I'm not sure if this can be close to SRV sound, never tried it & I don't have the Tubescreamer. To get the SRV tone I think you need to get a Texas Special. Thank you.
Actually I think these would work for SRV tone. BUT! He had weaker pickups but pushed his amps really hard and LOUD. Making the power tubes distorting. Thats his sound. Nowadays hardly any smaller event accepts this kind of volume. To work around this you could try hotter pickups stomp boxes etc. But nothing really equals pushing the amp. I have these pickups tube screamer and a fender amp. A bit like SRV tone but I just cant push my amp that loud.
