I was watching Excel tutorials and working after hours when CZcams recommended this to me, as if it was telling me "Chill bro, no need to worry, I got you. There are bigger things in life."
🙂 This Music is from heavens my friend. Excel is just from humans 😋 though it can be useful. I smile because I was also watching tuto on Java and the like before CZcams showed me Hani Rania. Both are just .... beyond words...
@@almizanalawal All music is from heaven, as musicians, we are just disciples :)
@@K3dzz I'd say channelers but hey, who cares... Different take, different tones ;)
@@almizanalawal Hani Rani - is really amazing - her Technic and percussive left hand style - if i can call it that way - is something that i never heard before. There is also another polish pianist - much more mature in his carrier that i can recomend - Leszek Możdżer: czcams.com/video/jUTOdFruBIE/video.html
@@zengoblin7261 Yes! I would also normally say this! I use the disciple idea colloquially, I believe people's interpretation of heaven is the same as Nirvana or enlightenment in general. Just mind states :)
The person who is reading this comment , i wish you great success , health, love and happiness !
thank you i am unhealthy and losing money, i hope things will get better!!!!
those plants must be living their best life
I found this last night. I have listened 6 times, now. I’ve been grieving and in survival mode for many years. My grandfather was a pianist. When I was a child I would sit next to him while he played piano and enamored by his hands moving across the keys … such beautiful melodies healing .. thank you for this masterpiece
Iceland music has the most beautiful piece of music I've ever listened. Eydis Evensen, Sigur Ros, Aurora, Olafur Arnalds.
Aurora is from beautiful Norway 💖
@@Hazealot006 Oh shit, I'm wrong, sorry.
ADHD is an exceptional jazz ensemble from Iceland. Highly recommend 🙏🏻
Soley as well. If you haven’t heard, I highly recommend. 😍
hahahahahah
being constantly surrounded by pop music and the hustle and bustle of life, these songs were a breath of fresh air for my constantly cluttered mind.
why are you surrounded by pop music? Are you in some kind of jail?
This is pop music your comment makes no sense
@@sark4786 stop being pretentious, you know what he meant.
@@colonelsanders4006 this is purely pop music.....very little to no difference between this and any other pop music out there. Ariana grande, and this, same music. Stop using the word "pretentious" wrong and talking to people online like you know them or are their friends. I don't know you, who tf are you to try and reprimand me. Piss off douche
@@sark4786 True, it's pop music but comparing it to Ariana Grande and any other pop product makes no sense. If you can't understand the difference it's your problem, an obvious problem probably caused by a lack of sensitivity.
My heart just exploded.
At 54 years of age, and after a traumatic brain/head injury I found the piano and began composing a certain sound that I thought only I understood, so I kept it hidden in a way. Then I hear this, and I know my entire being isn’t alone in the majesty and gift of life.
Tonight, I cried a little in happiness.
Que Deus seja sua força bem presente, que sua amizade te acompanhe sempre!
Time is an illusion. Sorry to hear of your accident but it seems it was an awakening
Feeling sick the entire day and suddenly I'm here charging my battery. This music makes you feel days can be better.
I just want to thank Music for being honest every time.
I just want to thank YOU for saying what my heart has been trying to say for last 30 years.
so true
i've come to believe that god is music.
@@chowkitmusic7278 Well, everything is dictated by frequency. We are just limited beings in terms of comprehending all of them, sometimes we just feel it. I strongly believe that frequency is a form of god and a connection of the whole.
is it really honest every time?

My speakers are earning their keep today.
Wow. Just lovely
Probably not my neighbours right now 👍

Eydis takes me far away to a place in history I have never been , a large Victorian house with a ballroom ,grand chandeliers with walls adorned with tapestry, Memories of another . Beautiful music , Thank you .
I can't count how many times I've listened to this entire video, it's just that good and it always manages to make me feel extremely comforted on hard days.
I bought the cd, and play this in my crazy bay area traffic commute. Eydís, taps me on the shoulder as the songs play. She tells me how great the taste of air is, coupled with the feeling of time moving is to be appreciated. I continue to drive home, park and then suddenly realise I do not want to leave my car. Dear Eydís, thank you Mi Amore!
New music, old music, good music. ❤
Timing for this recommendation couldn't have been better. Being forced to move due to landlord selling the house, stressed beyond stressed trying to find a home for my family and hit a breaking point. Had a mini melt down, sat down to try and calm my nerves and put some music on. Found this and wow...am I glad a clicked it. So relaxing and as someone else said, ethereal. Closed my eyes and it took me somewhere else, somewhere peaceful and helped me regroup. Thank you for posting.
Everything's gonna be okay dude, take it one step at a time and breathe between every step.
@@xxhandlenotfound Quality advice right here. Even the highest mountain is climbed one step at a time. Just focus on the next step. You can do it man, your family is counting on you.
"So far you've survived 100 percent of your worst days."
Keep your head up. This happened to me once too and I was gutted!! I think times like this are a blessing in disguise. I now love where I live and I'm thankful for the hardship. I realize this might easier said than done not knowing your full circumstances however try to remain focused on what you can control and what you're able to depict 👍☺️
I appreciate all the support and kind words. We signed the lease on a new house today for now until this crazy market drops off. Thankfully we'll be in a much better area and somewhere the kids are all closer to their friends.
It seems there consistently many amazing artists coming out of Iceland who are masters at creating ethereal soundscapes.
Well said. The landscape of Iceland may evoke the same feelings that this music does.
They also drink a lot
For the people reading this comment, I hope you become successful in your life
❤ und wieder zurück zu dir 😊
Man the piano is a masterwork of musical engineering. The greatest instrument of all time.
timelessly beautiful, yes, but too limited in the range of sounds it can produce. you can make any create any waveform or texture or anything with the electric guitar
@@sunnyinvladivostok Its not fair to compare an analog instrument with an electric instrument. A better comparison would be acoustic guitar vs piano or synth vs electric guitar.
@@sunnyinvladivostok Keyboard walked into the conversation 🤔😁
Iceland produces the most beautiful music and people. I want be there.
incredible country and people :)
Doubly impressive considering it is only a few hundred thousand people in the whole country. Their artistic output is very outsized for their population.
@@loontil isn't a Gabon one of those tree monkies or a synonym for the second word you mentioned
@@richunclejoey2249 bruh
I read about her music just now, she grew up in the next town over from my childhood town, which has basically the same views that inspired her music and I think because of that this art resonates very deeply with me.
The brooding dark clouds hanging low, dominating, oppressive, smothering in a windy storm. But looking out to the sea you might see birds circling some god rays in the distance and beyond that the steep shores of Strandir, that are close but feel like a far away distant mystery land, that part of Iceland is one of the least populated.
Once covid is over, I will definitely go there. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is where in Iceland?
❤
@@KINGNAS777 This would be the Skagi peninsula. Eydís is from Blönduós a small town of under a thousand people, the further north you go the more sparse it gets, but there you will find Kálfshamarsvík a beautiful little bay with columnar basalt formations reaching out into the sea, they look a little like the keys of a piano, I think would be a great location to film a video for 'The Northern Sky' there.
There is something spellbindingly beautiful about dignified women making music like these ones and Agnes Obel, for example. They don't try to wear outrageous costumes, do crazy makeup, dye their hair, they are just dignified and honest with their look and their sound. So beautiful.
True bards
You’re so cute when you show your misogyny 🥰
@@margicates553 What the heck are you talking about?!?
@@margicates553 That is a really stupid comment. Here I am, appreciating the beauty of their performance and the dignity of the performers, especially when compared to ridiculous hiphop and pop stars, and you think I misogynous? Are you kidding?!?!?
Is it too difficult for us to try to compliment and admire women, without simoultaneously bringing down or comparing a woman to other disparate women? Maybe the beauitful thing is how diverse we can be and how beautiful it is when women have the strength and support to be themselves.
She is good at this, other women thrive in ourageous costumes and how impressive the range of performances there are! One woman's beauty isn't the lack of anothers.
The world we live in today is lacking beauty- it’s so nihilistic and impoverished. This music brings a sense of life and soul that is missing today. I value this music so much

The best 20 minutes or so that I've experienced in years. Talk about melting from the inside out . . . . I'm now just a puddle.
I watched this with my 4 month old grandson, showing him how he can use his hands. We "played" the desk as Eydis played. He was fascinated. Thank you all for such beautiful playing and singing.
Good on you. Always best to start the little'uns off young learning instruments and languages. got my youngest a guitar and a french language learning book on her 5th birthday. I know it's a long learning process and it sounds better with time but it definitely got on my nerves listening to it non stop. Sounded like absolute shit. Luckily she was alright at the guitar but I had to ban the French lessons as I couldn't bare to listen to it anymore.
Now THAT is ‘education’ - educing, and awakening life within. You are a blessing to your grandson.
listening the first time, here in Irpin, Ukraine - I would say it sounds as a mood in the city. Like a hope that war will end soon, because city not bombing anymore (thanks God + US/EU/Ukraine forces yet). But there is a lot of infrastructure and homes are ruined.
Anyway, thanks for such deep and beautiful music.
I'm in love with Olafur's music and now i found her. There must be something magical with Iceland and their little Huldufólks
Apparently a cold and dark environment produce better music 🤣

Softly and beautiful. I wonder to hear this performance on the live.
Thank you!
Absolutely magical
so stunning! It is like listening to a stream running through a deep, dark wood...accompanied by the wind gently rustling through the leaves warmed by the glimpses of the sun peaking through ice white, puffy clouds
so sad and melancholic yet by swimming inside this mood one discovers a certain beauty in the validation that it is a shared universal experience. Within works of art like this, it is the aloneness that connects us :) peace and prosperity. ✌️
beautifully said... we all share in our humanness even when we feel like the only ones... Music is here to connect us, the one thing that transcends all barriers
What a joy to find this beautiful song!
Such a beautiful piece of music!
Thank you for this music, actually i'm stabilizing from an incurable celular disease, and I am leaving the hospital, already lying at home, and this helps me to heal.

This is the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. Thank you🖤💚
I just found you by chance and I'm glad I did. I felt somehow wrapped by your music, its softness, and somehow also pulled by it to something like a hidden land. Thank you so much for creating new music, I suppose it is. The piano sounds lovely, different to other pianos. You make a wonderful group.
Awesome & beautiful
This music makes you forget about time. It immerses you in a parallel world. And there you are, you and the mystical sea of Iceland. Nothing else exists. Marvelous
I love it thx for discovery !
Music that heals the Soul.

Ein Dankeschön aus Deutschland und ein Wohlgefühl für Ohren und Seele....
Thank you. Thank every one of you who have participated in making it possible for this music to reach these ears... thank you to the charming young lady playing the piano, to all the wonderful musicians playing strings, to those recording and filming and transmitting, to KEXP whom i had never heard of, for those who built the studio, and to all those behind CZcams, Google, the internet, and all that has made it possible for us all to inter-connect, inter-exist, and co-evolve asynchronously and in separation, yet somehow, together in this ethereal Icelandic cloud of sweet, misty, sound... May all beings be happy. May all beings be in peace.

This is simply magnificent.
I have anxiety to the point that I have panic attacks at times and with everyone being in mandatory lockdowns and such, Chillhop is an oasis.
It's so nice to see a community of awesome people such as yourselves. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy! 👍
Believe it or not:
I live in a community fully WITHOUT Corona - no restrictions- no masks- no tests - no vaccines.....and NONE OF US got sick even though we met with thousands of people within the community movement.......
Now we visit Croatia: and here NOBODY acts with or around Corona....
Fully normal life here
No isolation of people and minds
All healthy life and people.
Wake up, everyone.
Lockdowns kill souls and minds first.
Then economy.
Then people.
Just say NO - and LIVE 🙌💛
I hope you feel better and your anxiety is healing ❤️
