Aww man this is great, makes the job simple. I struggel with the placement of the upper shower support. surely this should be flipped 180 degrees so the allen key is mostly hidden, facing up and into the corner.

Thanks mate, They do it like this way because of water getting onto the surface which could potentially lead to rust/other difficulties!

Was fitting a mira shower on Sunday made a mistake trying to upgrade the fixing on the wall of the Mary shower that holds a copper pipe in place only had one screw hole per pipe so I bought a set from Amazon with Ford screw holes similar to the ones that you put on there but when I connected the base of the shower unit the pool was I want to dip towards the wall for the showerhead so I had to undo it all and put the mirror shower bits on his tender moments taken them Olive’s off but got there in the end.

What do you do about the exposed threads after you’ve tighten up the bar?
Is it normal to leave them showing?

It is in most cases, you'll often see the threads at the rear

When you purchase a mix shower there should be template which has the sizers on that you hold to the wall to mark were each pipe will be fitted, or you can purchase a back plate that covers the wall and has the holes already in place for most mixer showers
      Hope that helps

How do you turn off the cold water? Usually the hot can be done from the combi boiler

Hi mate, yes it should be tight as it shouldn't move, I would contact a local plumber just to make sure! Cheers

    Hi Craig,
I’m installing a very similar fixture. The issue I’m having is I get either very hot or very cold water. I have since discovered that the original plumber installation has the hot and cold pipes in the wall reversed. For this fixture I should have hot on the left and cold on the right, but the pipes in the wall are not that orientation. Any help would be appreciated. Do I need to rectify the pipe issue behind the wall to match what the fixture is indicating?
    Thanks

Yes I would fix the pipes before you mess around with the valves, or call a plumber who will sort it out for you!
