Conrad is wrong for getting involved in Brian business relationship with John. John is a fool for even entertaining the idea of doing business with Conrad. He should have told Conrad to freak off or talk to Brian. Instead he held meetings with him and then decided to disclose those meetings with Brian to which Brian, rightfully so mind you, told John to freak off. Am I the only one who doesn’t hate Brian Last ? I think he’s a good co-host . He and Jim work well together and I enjoy their podcast.
He’s a great cohost he’s one of the only engineers who knows what he’s doing. He’s not a guy who is self-taught on podcast and engineering. He worked for Sony for many years in the music industry. There’s a lot of guys who are just jealous of him because he’s a professional who happens to be a wrestling historian. Jim Cornett is a smart businessman he’s only going to get the best people to help them.

Brian Last hosts a show with Jim Cornette and thinks that the show is a hit because of THEM and not because of Cornette. It's always fun when guys like him get a wake up call.
The wrestling biz is supposed to be about making your bones. Guys with money jumped into the podcast game and have made more money than legendary wrestlers who broke their body. Conrad is oversaturated and has to host everything. He's already a millionaire but he has to be the guy. Brian Last is cool but it's the same thing. They bought their way into the Business and I think they should at least donate some income to disabled wrestlers. Arquette did. These podcasters get paid big bucks off essentially repeating old stories about other people. They aren't famous because of who they are. They are just well connected fans. But yet they benefit the most from events, memoribila, and streams of income from WRESTLING, which they never did. So phony that unknown podcasters eat up more wrestling income than wrestlers

The reason Brian gets called a giant Mark is because Brian hates all things WWF and Vince McMahon or at least, that's the perception he gives off. Even Corny, who as much as he's criticized both Vince and WWF, will still praise WWF when they do something right and has said time and time again that Vince as a person, always treated him very well. Brian hears all of this and still shits on both Vince and WWF but does it as if he either worked from them at one point in his life or as if Vince owes him money. Brian takes this way too seriously and personally which is laughable. Like Conrad, Brian never met Vince but shits on him as if he did.

Since Bruce went back to WWE his STW podcasts really went downhill. Hes always tired, drained and doesnt have the same energy and enthusiasm he had before he went back. WHW, Kurt Angle, My world & 83 weeks are all ok depending on the topics of discussion. If we look at the sub numbers on CZcams alone Cornys channel has more than all of Conrads shows combined. Brian Last has really helped the Experience and Drive thru blow up in recent years and he does a great job co-hosting with Jim IMO
Yeah I don't listen to them as often as I use to. In one instance I have no interest in the watch a longs.
To be honest, the chemistry with Jim and Brian is what I enjoy most. I rarely listen to any other podcasts start to finish, they’re the exception. Sad it impacts relationships but it’s business, there’s a lot of money in it.

Brian last and Conrad have gotten horrible the more popular they get. They started off OK, and then it just got to there head. These guys, man, people like this getting any kind of publicity is just bad. It just sucks cause most wrestling podcast had some good takes from real wrestlers in the beginning, now we get these guys in the mix. Wrestling podcasts were really good without them, now its not so much.

I agree with that statement if you listen to Jim's podcast Brian does act as if he's one of the boys and that, he played such a key role in wrestling based off Jim's endorsement and Co sign of him. he's very entitled for a guy who literally popped up in pro wrestling a few years ago.

Last likes to think he is the smartest guy around and he could book a show better than anyone else yet has no experience, has no one asking him too and I haven't even heard Cornette praise his booking knowledge only his historical knowledge. Last has made Jim money with advertising and other little schemes, produces the show and is Jim's backup and attack dog on a few subjects. In turn Cornette gives Last access into the wrestling world, connections to get up more peoples asses and gives him legitimacy amongst wrestlers and other important people in the business. Notice the people who have any kind of name end up leaving Last. First it was Scott Bowden, then Ron Fuller left, Kenny Bolin never got a podcast on and now Arezzi. The guys who have nowhere else to go and basically no listeners are still there. Even Lasts own podcast no one listened too.

I do sometimes disagree with Brian Last (as I will with Cornette) but I love their podcast and also love listening to the Keepin' It Real trio. I'm not really a big Conrad fan. I don't dislike him but the few videos I have listened to him, he just seems kind of bland and boring.

I don't think that podcasts show real numbers. I mean, there are many variables that have to be factored in. I mean a lot. I was told an episode reached 1 million listeners of Jim Cornette's pod (the one with Steve New talking the bullsh...G-Raver lawsuit). Most of the listeners came from clips from that week's episodes on CZcams. I'm listening to this interview, not necessarily the full podcast. Should this clip count as listening to the podcast? This interview is fun I will try to find time to listen, but I have work and kids. Anyway I'm prioritizing this show. So am I listening twice?
CZcams numbers are not reliable. I'm not going to say who but other entities have the ability to reset them wo anyone knowing except idiots like me. If you do some searching, you'll find out.

Brian Last > Conrad Thompson
I've listened to a lot of podcasts and a ton of shoot interviews. Brian Last is an incredibly knowledgeable fan/historian, whatever title you want to give him. I'm 57, he's about 20 years younger than I am, yet his knowledge of the 70's and prior decades in wrestling is hugely impressive. He is a wrestling savant as far as I'm concerned. He made an arrangement with John Arezzi and Brian told him right up front what the conditions were and John went outside of those boundaries and that was that. Brian is a business man and has good business acumen, so he knows what he's doing. Conrad is a good host in my opinion, and is passionate about the years in wrestling that he followed, but his wrestling knowledge prior to 1988 is very limited so for a hardcore fan like myself, he doesn't offer too much as I personally think most wrestling post 1988 is pretty much garbage anyway. Brian's shows on his "Arcadian Vanguard" network are more of interest to old time fans like myself that are interested in mainly the 70's and 80's happenings.
I have personally been moving away from Conrad's shows. I really want to listen to My World but it feels like any time the 'guests' don't agree with Meltzer or Russo, Conrad turns on them. There was an awkward moment during that show that, as someone who had a podcast, I would have cut out. Also, I like listening to Konnan/Disco, but I feel like the jabs on this video come without knowing the full details on the situation.

Hes knowledgeable but its all basically Wrestling Observer history. The blueprint for the IWC it gets boring hearing the same rote answers to things most, even those claiming to know, don't know or remember. All the cliched likes and dislikes. You can know a lot but just parroting the same boring smart fan mindset is more just believing dogma than having true thoughts and opinions.

What Last is doing and bringing older wrestling to light is incredible. I found stuff like Austin Idol, learned about the territories and expanded my world far beyond WWE/WCW/ECW. Conrad going over stuff from the 1990s is kind of meh. So, to me is sort of McDonald’s whereas I see Brian Last as Smith & Wollensky.

@@davyjones2032 That's one of his more irritating traits as of late....and his hatred of WWE, to where he'll bring them up to bash even when Cornette is criticizing something in AEW, has gotten beyond old. It's like, okay man, we know you hate WWE and don't want to watch it...but then to not watch or act like you were so put out by having to watch something....95% of the audience isn't listening for your wrestling takes anyways. As to the Arezzi thing...I understand some of the issues Brian had with Arezzi basically shopping around the show while he, Brian, and his people do virtually all of the production and put the time in on it. However, this is just one more example of someone he has "beef" with....Tom Robinson who used to be on his 605 podcasts, Hannibal, Conrad, Arezzi, Ron Fuller, his former 605 co-host David Bixenspan (which I understand...he's awful), etc. etc. If you continually keep finding yourself in those situations it usually says something about you.

@@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL They became fans through wrestling. Last started a podcast with Bixenspan, the 605 podcast, because Bixenspan had a bit of a name and some notoriety. As soon as Cornette needed a producer Last stepped in and then Last name took off with the association with Cornette. Soon after he dumps Bixenspan and as soon as Bixenspan made enemies online Last poured it on making fun of Bixenspan's mental health issues and appearance. Like him or hate him you don't have to laugh as someones illness especially when you are coming off as a pretentious asshole yourself. They were friends for years but once Last got in with Cornette he started piling on. Bixenspan might be a jerk but you can use many examples against him, you don't have to insult a persons physical or mental health issues. That's just being petty and a piece of shit. Especially after being friends for awhile, when it was convenient.

But not many people saying the same except for Last. A lot of people have been used and let go and somehow they are always the bad guy. Last has historical knowledge, but it doesn't seem like he knows anything about what goes on in the ring. Cornette breaks everything down, then Last is just like "I thought it was ok", or "I didn't really like it". Cornette should just stop asking for Brian's opinion, it's worthless.
I think Last tries to stay in the background and let Jim be the star of the show. It's Jim that would prefer Brian to be more involved, but Brian knows what he doesn't know so he will only talk about things that he has a background on. What I like about Brian is that he never tries to be the star of the show. Yes, he has an opinion and when he feels strongly about something he will speak his mind, but he doesn't think that we listen for him unlike Conrad.

Yet,every week there’s a question about some match the Midnight Express had 35 years ago or some nxt wrestler that nobody gives a shit about or a southern wrestler from the 60’s or 70’s who could draw 1500 every card as a main eventer in small hick towns and Cornette gushing over them like they’re Hulk Hogan for a half an hour!
