In this video, we will show how to replace the cabin air filter in the Eighth Generation of Honda Civic. Replacement of the Cabin Air Filter will be very similar if not identical in the subsequent generations of the Honda Civic.
It is recommended to change the cabin air filter every 30000 miles or 48000 km.

The Honda dealership (stealership) charged my Gf $114 to change her Cabin filter. Wish I saw this video first. Now I charge my gf $50 to do it myself. (Kidding!! lol) I only charge $40!

Hard to believe that Honda actually made this as easy as it is. They must have slipped up in the design stage. The engineer who designed this so simply at such little cost was probably fired.

Same for me..told me about 57$ for air cabin filter. Luckily i denied it
I bought three (3) replacement filters for $35 or so and now I have enough for the life of the car lol!

Agreed! The filter that Canadian Tire recommended was half the price at Walmart. After watching this, I'm so glad I checked to see if I could do it myself, would have been pissed off to pay mechanic's fee.

Im so glad that you posted this video. I now know how to replace my air filter. I went to the desler today, snd they told me that my filter needs to be replaced, and charge $70 to replace the filter. I told the dealer that was too costly, and will go to another dealer. The lady that was waiting to get her car service told me to go to Advance Auto, and they will charge $16. Be careful with some of these mechanics, they will overcharge you for a simple task on your car that you can simpy do on your own.

These videos are great - there are some items on a car that about anyone can fix. My dealer is great and I regularly get the "big stuff" done there, but be smart and research what you can do on your own. I easily saved $20 replacing this.

i just changed mine now on my civic, i saved almost 50 bucks compared to dealership price. i bought the filter from them just to make sure i have the right stuff and i had it changed myself.. its their labor that is pricey.

Kudos get some satisfaction change it your self save money put a piece of tape Below glove with date and mileage for next change due.
You can save hundreds of dollars by watching and learning this kind of videos and purchasing parts online and not from the dealer.. I never let the service guy change air or pollen filters.

You can also go to any parts store and let them know that you need a cabin air filter. They will give you the right product.

That’s honestly not too bad. The replacement filter itself is most of that price. If you go to the dealer they’ll want $100-$150, now that’s a rip off!
