- Mcdoubles back again with a brand new video today featuring KREG THE TANK once again but this time on The Burning Crusade!
In this video we hop back on our main character for the expansion - but with a twist. We race changed him into Kreg the Gnome, our tanking alias for the beginning of Season 7 on Project Ascension.
I've theorycrafted a really fun to play build with this character and we take him from 1-70 and beyond, grabbing awesome upgrades at max, and honing the build into something incredibly fun to tank with and we do it by using a 2H and doing some PARRYING!

He who walks upon the umbral planes of Outland, he who possesses powers beyond gnomish comprehension. A name so feared that it has not been uttered for eons. His name is Kreg, the Umbral devourer.
I've been playing a nearly identical Build for a few months now on A52. It's super fun. The resets on Divine Storm with Ward of Light are insane. I often end Dungeons with top damage. Though with Riposte in the Build with Imp Riposte, Enveloping Shadows and Setup. Having 100% uptime with Ghostly Strike + Parries giving a Magic Shield and Magic Damage resetting Divine Storm, you just take so little damage.

Not sure if anyone pointed it out in the comments but I think weapon enchants like earth living conflict with the 2nd legendary RE's weapon effect. ^^

Fire tank with Templar of Flame is pretty damn amazing. Going with a holy/fire hybrid for tanking is really efficient due to the RE and also the mana regain from judgement of wisdom. Idk whether mana forged barrier or 2h would be better. But please try it out, it's pretty amazing and I've had a lot of fun

The best part about this video is you walked backwards into Consecrated Strikes parry tank, which is one of the best Dungeoning tank specs atm. It trivializes Heroics. You love to see it.

As some others have commented, if you wanna revisit flame themed 2h tanking with Kreg then Templar of the Flame is definitely the way to go. Not only does it provide a near constant 8% DR from the RE itself but it also gives you aoe tanking without needing T-clap or Consecrate which gives it a sense of uniqueness. I've considered trying it myself but I'm still too attached to my t-slam 2h tank I've been playing since it came out on Malganis.

Just a quick thing McDoubles. If you have a weapon enchant (like earthliving) on and you are using Consecrated Strikes, the secondary effect where it boosts your physical hits won't proc cause there is already a weapon enchant on your weapon. That's how it functions, you need to have that open for a weapon enchant to be applied. Alda

What if they added a legendary enchant that revolves around earth living weapon, earth shield, dragons breath, and the tame dragon. It could be a black dragon based tank with slight self heals. It could also add a new ability for your dragon pet for a damage mitigation cooldown.

Goggles of Virtue from Sylas, highly recommended to save your framerate in Org or SW. You can probably pull it from your vanity items.

60-70 : 3 ramp runs skipping boses and killing trash till 64 - Mana tombs - do quests > Sethekk halls - do quests 70 - faster then having to do helfire quests :D and trying to do ring of blood - Calibloom

Next spec for Kreg should definitely be a Champion of Justice healer where you heal mainly through instant cast Holy Shocks and Flash of Lights. You can also heal in RF (as long as you take a threat reduction talent) for the Prot Pali talent Divinity.
