If you’re talking about in comparison to the late 90’s early 2000’s UK dubstep, then yes. I wouldn’t even call it lost, it just morphed into something else entirely.
But if you’re comparing it to 2009 dubstep here in the states, then no it’s not lost. It just evolved.
