I bought such a doorbell and was able to modify the receiver so it's no working from a pair of AAA batteries.
It's a simple product, but it brings so much joy.
I've got a new one I'm excited like a kid for a holiday never thought I would be excited over a door bell 2020 Changed the smallest things,Thank God for all things lol😁😂🤣

It looks like the upper outlet is partially blocked by the receiver. It this true? Will a 3 wire grounded plug install unobstructed?
sadly yes the upper outlet is semi blocked, its best to use this on a outlet you dont need both. or buy a extension for the outlet
I just put mine in upside down, in the top outlet and that leaves space in the bottom outlet for a 3 prong plug.

No it hasn't 0.0 check the battery to the button and replace it and make sure no water got inside that could make it happen

No not at all this is a button, like any door bell with a button someone comes up to the door and presses the door bell button and ring ring!

yes :) the remote im using is the doorbell button you place it outside, and what i have plugged into the wall is the actual door bell, so when someone presses the button ( doorbell remote button ) outside it then sends the signal to the speaker plugged into the wall outlet and rings these make it simple no wiring has to be done :D
This is NOT the best wireless doorbell. Easy to setup, yes. Easy to install, yes. They lied about the outside button being weather proof. It's not. If you press the button, you can see the electronics behind it, and there's an hole where the cover release is. Water can just gush right in. LOL Oh, and the battery is bloody hard to find. Your button does look different than mine, so maybe you actually do have the real water / weather proof button.
yes This model is From 3+ years ago, so they may have changed it up a bit and went with cheaper parts ect
