i’d be very interested to see how you use a 4-4-2/4-2-2-2 as a total football tactic. i use similar principles in my Newcastle save. i line up in a 4-4-2 and try to replicate a 3-box-3 in possession:
-LB stays back on attack; RB joins attack and underlaps.
-LM/RM stay wide
-LCM stays central and on edge of the box; RCM on free roam and gets into the box
-LS is a false 9 CF; RS stays central

I tried it, but very difficult to defend from counter-attacks. I find myself more successful with 4-2-3-1 formation with wingers instead of midfielders.

Can you try recreating a 3-4-3 Diamond and/or 3-3-1-3 with the given formations in FUT?
Nope, you can’t alter positions in Ultimate Team mate
@@Broma18 right, but you can manipulate positions based on player instructions. Like I've gotten close enough to a 3313 using a 4141 and a 343 Diamond using a 3142 but I'm not nearly as familiar with things like depth and width. I was wondering what your thoughts would be on those formations based on manipulating them in the game

I think they’re quite a defensive team, long ball and forward runs is a good option. I think they usually line up with a 3-5-2 formation too but I could be wrong, I don’t watch luton town a lot lol

Only if you play like a general FIFA player does. If you play properly, stamina levels will be just fine, mate.
@@Broma18 What does that mean? I tried this setup and every player on the field was empty before half time. What does it mean to "play properly?"
Play realistically rather than just trying to play at a million miles per hour all the time like FIFA players do. Retain and rest in possession, let the ball do the work. If your players are done before half time, it shows that you’re losing possession too much and just playing the game like it’s Ultimate Team.
@@Broma18 Those are some big assumptions. In playing this style for two games, I have close to 60% possession with 120 or so passes-- but players near their death. The advice of "play realistically" is pretty vague. If I change to balanced, suddenly my players aren't drained; so does that mean I somehow am instantly playing "realistically," at that point? Or is it something else?
@@Broma18 I'm in a game right now. Only 35:40 into the first half. 1-1 game (they scored on a wild, super long kick.) 65% possession. 93% pass accuracy (64/69 passes completed.) I've had three passes intercepted while intercepting six of theirs. My players are all at half stamina or less; literally every one of them except the GK. So I'm not sure how to parse that...
Have Tried the tactic before on fifa and pes works more on pes then fifa tbh
