I gotta give Eric credit. The first two years of Nitro was maybe the best produced wrestling tv show ever. It eventually got stale and repetitive with too many egos and “doesn’t work for me brother” but from 95-97 it was just an outstanding show. It also forced Vince to commit to a live show every week with A list matches and storylines instead of just using Raw as a glorified commercial for PPV and house shows.
No slight to your great interviews but your shows have the best outro music!
Eric Bischoff did have some good ideas and wrestling was great between 1995 to 2000 because of the competition between WCW and WWF.
Wrestling was at its coolest in the 90's. Eric is big reason for that. He pushed Vince to get with the times.

100% correct. And if tony khan wasn't such a kid and a spoiled child that acted like a child. He could have pushed vince again
I still believe Eric is indirectly responsible for the attitude era. This was one of the few times in the modern history of wrestling that you didn't have to be embarrassed to admit you were a fan as an adult.
By firing Austin by FedEx. Actually ECW started the attitude era.

I agree... and I kinds think brets work shoots late 96 going into 97 was the start too .. he started everything's bullshit and he pushed McMahon after that one promo you started to think what he was saying was real..
No it was a few events that led to what we got . As far as the attitude era I narrowed it down to three maybe four events that happened.
1 . When triple h , Nash, Hbk, broke kayfabe
2 . Hogan going to wcw
3 . The Montreal screwjob .
4 . Ted DiBiase going to wcw .
If either one of these don't happen we don't have what happened! .
With kayfabe being broken and everybody knowing it is scripted ; that gave way to the Montreal screwjob brought out really motions and real people in a business that is based on fiction .
And with Hunter Hearst Helmsley being punished for breaking kayfabe that allowed Austin to become king of the Ring after DiBiase left if DiBiase never left Austin doesn't cut that promo.
And if Hogan doesn't go to WCW then of course stunning Steve is wcw's top guy
@@thedonk2 No dude lol HHH Nash, HBK, Hall was at a house show and is more infamous between more hardcore wrestling circles. It's not a big deal for casuals, which a lot of the attitude era fan base was. That event isn't that major, just upset a lot of traditionalists. Its quite clear that, the rise of Austin in 97, the change in presentation to more 'shoot style' story's, Hogan turning heel and the formation of the NWO. And ofc the screw job which let to the birth of Mr Mcmahon.
