I swear John has the attitude, the smile, and the eyes of a 11 years old kid having the time of his life. ^^ Never stop playing and having fun people. You'll stay young.
Yes, this is exactly the kind of thing I enjoy. I'm autistic and have the mind of a 14 year old boy. I only get peanuts in my current job, most my spare cash goes on my army men collection. I used to think I was odd for still being into army men toys, until I had a YT channel. I have literally thousands by now, I'm getting some lead soldiers when I have the money, each figure costs £4.99!
Thanks, good looking store, If I get over to the US I will try to visit Mr John. I am a Wargamer in Australia good to see the hobby is popular in US. Thanks again and all the best from down under to you guys in the US. Lewis Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️🇺🇸
Thanks for the tour Bill.. I used to always go there when I was able to travel. And, love to see the old Marx ACW figures... brings back great memories for me under the Christmas tree!
I enojyed that, especially seeing the navarone playset thta I got for xmas in my childhood, although I didnt realise it was in the US as well as here in UK Many thanks
Thanks for showing all the great stuff. These kind of shops are dangerous for me to enter, cause I end up spending $100+ on stuff I didn't realize I needed before I stepped in the shop.
I need to dropby here the next time I visit The East Coast. We usually drive from DC to NYC and stay overnight @ Hershey. We pass through Gettysburg on the way so definitely need to visit.
I was in Gettysburg for Memorial Day this year and found this shop on Monday...closed! I was leaving that day so I missed out visiting. Regretted this ever since...
@@BillsWargameWorld I will be returning again soon and then I will be sure to stop in. I am a toy soldier collector, so I am eager to check things out in person. Looking forward to it!
I noticed there were very few kits relating to popular culture franchises like Star Wars, Warhammer 40K, Gundam and Dungeons and Dragons. I think this is a good thing though, stick to your guns. I like how this store is maintaining an old traditional toy soldier store style. Those pop culture brands are well covered by other stores.
How long did it take your dad to go pro ? I want to be a professional warhammer 40k painter. Im not bad, Not noob but around amature, I do keep improveing though.
It seems like you have a wide verity of soldiers, some of which I have myself. I would love to visit your shop, but I live over here in Europe, I'm English!!!!
@@BillsWargameWorldI live in the UK and in my county we have a shop called Boyes. They used to sell these WWII dark green soldiers in bags of 100 for 99p. Lucky enough I bought many bags of them before they stopped selling them!

He he, why do you think I never grew up? I'm autistic and have the mind of a 14 year old boy. I collect army men too.
*_If I told Mr.John I'd like to play Warhammer Fantasy on his table; and Mr. John shot me, I'd accept that._*
But 40k Oldschool Imperial Guard battles are permitted... only inter regimental and no filthy xenos.
Mr. John's shop is a cleverly disguised time machine. This video instantly took me back 50yrs.

Very nice! Do you know if they carry any 15 mm figures?
Col. Strong Vincent
Any 1/144 sets?
Are talking about the Union officer Vincent Strong who was killed in Little Roundtop
Thank you !

These dioramas are set up and taken down every month or so.
He should sell a diorama portraying Lee in the hospital tent being tested for cocaine after Pickett's "charge"...
Says he is going to go slow, so he blows past the board games and models.

might be useful to gget the guy to speak into the mic.
