The first film was poorly written and completely incoherent in many ways. And the sequels did absolutely nothing to fix this problem. They only made it worse, bringing new inconsistencies.
WHY? The movie was FULL of holes, 2D characters and lost potential. Covenant only made this worse. This had all the potential in the world, dropped the ball on EACH and every level of the story. Besides this was never shot nor written, this was click bate. The real speech (taken out for a reason) is on line anyways.
They could have left the reasoning in without the allusions to Jesus. They took it out because it’s on the nose and it doesn’t make sense for the Engineer to take a moment for story time before he tries to kill everyone.

Sufficient evidence was that the ship was supposed to fly towards earth 2k years ago. (it's strange that they ended up on this ship since there were more of them) It's good that they did what they did, because then the film would have earned less and there would have been no further parts.

They don't show him the mysteries or anything like that. And when enoch is brought to the seventh heaven he isn't brought there with his mom or anything like that.
I'd even argue that the deleted scenes were some of the BEST parts of Prometheus which leaves me wondering why they would even remove them in the first place. They fill in the giant missing plot holes which is what lead a lot of people not understanding/liking the film.
Yes. That whole scene is crazy without context included in the cut content. All you see in the theatrical release is the engineer go mad and kill Weyland and tear apart David for no apparent reason. The cut content has Weyland with David as interpreter ask the engineer for more life since he is dying old man. The whole backstory of man and the sheer audacity of Weyland to ask for more life maddens the engineer and does what we all see in the film.
It explains why they want to destroy humanity but it just boils down to “humans violent!” so it’s not like we were missing out on anything groundbreaking. Also, didn’t the engineers create the Xenomorphs? Aren’t the Xenomorphs one of the deadliest weapons in the galaxy?

I KNEW IT! When they were at the Alien Ship, the coordinates for Earth were punched in 2000 years ago. Meaning the Ship was to deliver the bioweapon 2000 years ago to punish Earth.
Look at the mural in the big head room, there is a xenomorph in the crucified position. Ridley was going this way from the start. The mural remained after they cut the idea out of the script.

Everyone is just looking around and one of the crew shines his flashlight on the wall. Its a giant painting of a xenomorph like figure in a crucified position. I loved this movie from an entertainment standpoint and the questions it begged. It was much deeper than just running around tying to survive the monsters. I find the engineers absolutely fascinating and they should have their story told.
The whole point of evolution is to give a species time to improve and perfect themselves, and if they don't make mistakes then there is nothing to learn from.

There is a hint of this still in the movie. They say that the mummified head is around 2000 years old. I always thought this was a reference to Christ. When they decided to go back and destroy humanity after the murder of Christ that's when the accident happened and there was a leak in the facility.
It could also explain why there's been no apparent second coming of Christ or Armageddon. No one was alive after the accident to send him back or attack.

The movie needed this explanation. I remember watching it for the first time and thinking why didn’t they give an explanation as to why they hated us so much. It makes sense now.

Sufficient evidence was that the ship was supposed to fly towards earth 2k years ago. (it's strange that they ended up on this ship since there were more of them) It's good that they did what they did, because then the film would have earned less and there would have been no further parts.

I'd even argue that the deleted scenes were some of the BEST parts of Prometheus which leaves me wondering why they would even remove them in the first place. They fill in the giant missing plot holes which is what lead a lot of people not understanding/liking the film.

All you see in the theatrical release is the engineer go mad and kill Weyland and tear apart David for no apparent reason.
The cut content has Weyland with David as interpreter ask the engineer for more life since he is dying old man. The whole backstory of man and the sheer audacity of Weyland to ask for more life maddens the engineer and does what we all see in the film.
It explains why they want to destroy humanity but it just boils down to “humans violent!” so it’s not like we were missing out on anything groundbreaking. Also, didn’t the engineers create the Xenomorphs? Aren’t the Xenomorphs one of the deadliest weapons in the galaxy?

Everyone is just looking around and one of the crew shines his flashlight on the wall. Its a giant painting of a xenomorph like figure in a crucified position. I loved this movie from an entertainment standpoint and the questions it begged. It was much deeper than just running around tying to survive the monsters. I find the engineers absolutely fascinating and they should have their story told.
The whole point of evolution is to give a species time to improve and perfect themselves, and if they don't make mistakes then there is nothing to learn from.
Killing members of the same species in the most horrible ways, for silly reasons, as well as all killing other life forms and the eco system of which they are dependent off, is not "the point of evolution". The best killers are not the goal.

There is a hint of this still in the movie. They say that the mummified head is around 2000 years old. I always thought this was a reference to Christ. When they decided to go back and destroy humanity after the murder of Christ that's when the accident happened and there was a leak in the facility.
It could also explain why there's been no apparent second coming of Christ or Armageddon. No one was alive after the accident to send him back or attack.

The movie needed this explanation. I remember watching it for the first time and thinking why didn’t they give an explanation as to why they hated us so much. It makes sense now.
Interestingly this concept makes more sense than immaculate conception.
This line could have added so much depth into their lore behind their creationist species. They should have kept the line in that would have made the engineers a way cooler entity in the alien lore.
