I think I understand what your saying. Im pretty sure the unlocks will stay in their respective worlds and won’t crossover as of now.

Here’s trophy tom’s guide on it if you still need help
You have to complete the mission where u take the barrels into the portal. After it’s complete, jump in the portal. Next , there should be a multiverse crack once u get teleported to mount olympus by the portal. If the crack is not there, I’m pretty sure, but not 100% sure, u have to complete all the multiverse rifts. Headbutt the crack until a galaxy portal pops up, jump in that portal, then u will have lizard doggo. Your welcome bro:) hope this helped you
