My apologies, brother. Due to being blind, I pull the lures in and out of frame to see them better. Also, unconsciously pull the lure out of frame as I'm painting them to see them better. I hope this video was of some value to you.

I recommend lacquer thinner to clean your airbrush just put a little bit in the cup and spray it out of the water 👍 good luck

Another pointer which those created gold paints they give you tip dry so fast, use them for shorter Bursts, and before you start painting again just pull that trigger and shoot a crap load of paint on a blank sheet of paper…. Hit lure for till clog and repeat

I used Flex Coat epoxy when I made my own Fishing Rods, the formula was a softer when set up to allow for rod bend, worked great and didn’t fade.

Thanks Mark, Jettson make some stunning lure eyes. Since I started using Flex Coat, I really want to build a fishing rod myself. Flex Coat make some nice rod building products, rod blank turners and more.
@@BlindSymmetryLurePainting you really don’t need much to build a rod, I built my own holder for putting on eyes, and rod turner, the problem is with anything we like to do, you can’t build one! Next thing you know several blanks are heading your way! It’s as addictive as painting lures, but more costly!

@@BlindSymmetryLurePainting have you tried to replicate the green gizzard shad by Rapala? If so could you post it.
Spraying that pearl gold is not fun, i found it best to get it a bit thinner than most of your paints but the key it’s to use it in short bursts, using a lot of paint with very high psi… you just can’t get those gold createx paints to shoot with much precision or they clog immediately.

I ordered some of the flex coat epoxy and I was wondering if it is absolutely critical to get a turning station for lures to dry? is there anything that I could get by with in the mean time untill I get one if needed?
The turning wheel allows me to, put on a thick coat of epoxy without it running or dripping off the lure. You don't have to use the wheel but, I highly recommend the wheel to achieve thick glassy coat.
