Sure, while size or thumbhole stocks wouldn't be an issue no matter how tight nerf got the tolerances it wouldn't be as stable as a grip molded into the blaster.

Wouldn't it be awesome if they made an Elite/Modulus/Accustrike Vulcan? It's not the most practical blaster, but that thing was so fun! Having it released again with a cool new paint job and more powerful internals would just be awesome!

The chain feeding issue reminds me of what happened when I messed up attempting to mod my strong arm - there is a little gear that is very similar to the top of a clicky pen. How it works is when you pull back, it is supposed to drop down from an angled ledge, then when moving back up it pushes up against the ledge and moves to the side since the ledge is angled, but it sometimes seems to not work and simply climb back onto the ledge instead.

tbf if you still use a vulcan you are a peasant for using such an old blaster. I gotta say, the vulcan was pretty cool, nerf should either update it to be an elite blaster or use the same idea for a blaster.

Maybe you should prime with much force than usual so it will make it rotate enough. Also the jams was generally happening when he was going faster.

The problem with the misfiring is not the chain. The little nubs on the sprocket that advance the chain are just a tad small. Firing fast is what is causing it to skip and then misfire.
This would be dope as a secondary. If the chains length is the problem shorten it. If it has at least more than 15 shots I’d be happy. Give it a stock a better spring and it’s a decent HVZ primary.
It seems like once you've shot off a few shots, the side with the darts is heavier than the side without and so the weight causes the mechanism to stuff up.

Ok all things considered it’s still a very cool looking blaster. Maybe if the feeder held more of the chain on it there’d be less concentrated weight for less jamming etc, the wobbly handle is easy fixed by a better build. The concept is really cool for a quick reload of high volume dart chain and with a few chains wrapped around you, you’d feel like Rambo 😎 easy counters here Hasbro for a potentially awesome blaster… and great review as always Frank 😁

I am Heavy Weapons Guy, and this is my nerf. She weighs a few pounds and fires custom cheap Zambie bullets. It costs a few bucks to fire this weapon… for 12 seconds. Some Zambies think they can outsmart me. Maybe, maybe. I have yet to meet one that can outsmart foam bullet

I have an idea to fix the feeding issue, maybe if you opened the blaster and fount the mechanism that allows the wheel to slip, you could glue it or do something to stop it from slipping and make the firing more reliable

I am sure you could 3D print more chains and be able to swap them around, but maybe the feeding problem is because that it doesn't have weight on the other side, so it can't help push the chain down

I have this blaster and I have no problem with the chain 98% of the time, you get used to having to make sure that you pulled and pushed enough
Dangit. Very disappointing. I'm always interested in different types of blasters and it stinks that this one is mechanically a failure.

Personally Stezton I feel like the priming is the cause. It does prime smooth but seem to lack of any strength in order to rotate a whole chain. I think the ideal priming strength should be between the current Ripchain and the Apollo. It would demand a little bit of effort but you could have a stronger mechanism.

theres a Spring at the drum mechanism wich has the function that you kan turn the drum (its in every nerf drum blaster). if you replace it with a stroger one it will not have rotation problems anymore, but its harder to move the chain (or the drum). I hope you red my comment. If you want pictures i can sent you one from the place where the spring is. Sorry for my bad English.

Actually making the chain longer would help with the feeding issue since the force downward would increase therefore increasing traction between the chain and wheel

I know how to fix the feeding issue, well I might. I did this to my old Vulcan and it works great. There is a orang piece on a spring, at least there would be if it is like the Vulcan, I’m not sure, but all you have to do is depress that orange piece, then super glue it in the down position. It will feed a lot better if you do that

Flywheelers need heavy modding with electrical know how to be able to get the fast, point and click response of a springer without pre-revving, which is noisy. so yes, springers have advantages too
