John Betjeman is one man I wished that could of lived forever. His programmes were always so delightful and about such idyllic places, which we don't see in today's programmes.
Wonderful to watch again. Better than the rubbish TV documentaries nowadays with their array of 'talking heads' experts popping up and celebrities seen on camera endorsing rather than allowing the viewer to see and enjoy for themselves. Will the BBC ever unlock their archives and show again Jonathan Stedall's earlier films with John Betjeman from which snippets were shown here?
A total joy to see again. I always cherished this series when first shown and remember distinctly the talk between John and Jonathan Stedall on the Cornish coast in the final episode. Thank you for the upload.

A fabulously humorous episode, from Sir Les to the unscripted cleaning lady, Betjeman takes it all in his stride!
