We have literally grown together in every possible way. I was merely a teenager when I first met her - I never thought ‘love’ was real I swear I really didn’t but after 8 years of trying to go every extra mile possible to put that smile on her face makes me believe there is love. I can’t count the amount of times I had found myself in a spot where i broke my back in half trying to make something work and put in all the effort, and getting walked all over and walked out on. It doesn’t bother me that I find out how somebody really behaves. It bothers me that afterwards I sit there and realize that there is somebody that I know out there that will stoop to low places and is probably doing it to the next person in line. The fact that there are people out there that can behave in ways that will harm others, and know that it’s beyond your power and your business to keep it from happening to somebody else.

I am a broken man who is trying my hardest to get my life together. But because of how broken I am I lost the love of my life. She would say goodbye and a little time would pass and she would just leave me again. She still means everything to me. She was my smile when I would hate to smile. She made me feel again. I know I have to let her go, let her find happiness but I can't let go. I want her to be happy even if it's not with me... love changes you but a broken heart also changes you. After a long time of being always alone, I met this girl that since I saw her I thought "Wow, this girl is cool, gorgeous, and confident" Days passed that I felt happy for once talking to her every day and was slowly coming out of my depression. Months after taking to her every single day. One day her friend text me and confessed that she had feelings for me and I said I did have to. Then I asked her to be my girlfriend because her friend said that I should do the first step. Well, she accepted and I was very happy, it would be my first time experiencing what it is like to have a girlfriend. But I slowly realize that this didn't feel like a relationship. When I want to hold her hand, she won't let me or in front of her friends. I always have to be starting the conversation because otherwise she never sends me a message. The only time she texts me is to tell me about her problems with her mother and vent. Today in class she didn't speak to me the entire period and when we went out to lunch she didn't turn to me or look for me once. I was behind her wishing she would turn to see me or wait for me but she didn't. She just keep walking and disappeared into the distance. Now I ask myself what we are. Because I always observe couples holding hands, kissing, and laughing together. But I just feel like I'm invisible to her.
You need to learn to find validation in yourself as a person not in her or anything materialistic that’s how you end up feeling empty. if you love anyone, you can’t force them to love you back, it’s not fair to yourself. Confront the issue with her and you’ll get your closure, then you can feel free no matter what happens.
