Has Yitzchak Pearlman transformed into a beautiful young Korean violinist of equal talent and passion. Seeing her expressions reminds me of the great violinists of my age. Her interpretation of Brahms is breathtaking and perfection. Bomsori has already reached the mountain top with more to go. Thank you for your talent, devotion and passion. The future of classical music is secure with such an artist and others like her. Now we have to get the younger generation to listen and appreciate this music and artistry.
I agree... I have difficulty differentiating between her various performances. Her playing " rendition" is remarkable and consistent. She has a unique style and form that fits very well with this particular song. The other factors are the orchestra and the acoustics... which can differ from performance to performance. I cannot choose which I prefer. Wonderful. The following version I will not be reading or writing.
Bomsori is priceless. Her violin playing is lively, touching to the point of impossibility. She just plays and does not yet realize the depth of her talent.
Sublime music. It soothes my soul in these troubled times. I hear if everyday. Ms. Kim and Ms. Alsop together have created a perfect Brahms violin concerto. Thank you Ms. Kim. This was in 2015. Now, 8 years later, I can see that Bomsori aka “Sound of Spring” has blossomed beautifully. In just a few hours from now (Sept 5, 2023 today), she will be debuting at the Hollywood Bowl performing Mozart “Turkish” concerto with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Brahms - Violin Concerto is a unique composition with the lucid definition of sublime music and style. It is interacting, passionate and overwhelmingly beautiful. Bomsori Kim plays an elaborate interpretation with hypnotic force.
The thing I find most amazing, is not that such a small nation as S. Korea produced a Kim Bomsori, but that Han Soojin is right behind her. And that they are both following in Chung Kung Wha's footsteps. Incredibly talented violinists. And there are more I could name besides Soojin. Something of a miracle, IMHO.
I just cannot understand. I can understand how such a relatively young person can play so beautifully. Just a natural gift. But to play with so much emotion? A wonderful performance. Orchestra and conductor plus sound and picture quality also first class.

Bomsori's live game is very difficult to describe in words. The more and more attentively I listen to Bomsori, the stronger the belief that such a game is impossible to hear anywhere else. Bomsori is a unique, rare occurrence. She is just playing. Because she likes it and because she expresses her live soul in this way. Without imposing anything on anyone. Her feelings easily come from her heart. They are surprisingly rich, fresh, sincere. Her violin is dynamic, full of life, ringing and joyful. My thanks to the coronavirus for the opportunity to find this unique game and this miracle, - Bomsori!

What an awesome playing she does! I think her name smells of something musical because Bomsori means the sound played by season spring. Plus, her sincere and concentrated attitude of playing the violin enhances the quality of her performance, getting us immersed into a new and original sea of music.
It’s good that almost all comments express such a positive attitude towards Bomsori. A lot of commentary is often comprehensive, deep and accurate. And it seems to me that the depth and accuracy of thoughts in those comments simply once again testify to the vivid features of Bomsori's amazing talent.
I agree. Bomsori Kim's performance of Mendelssohn's Concerto in E minor is brilliant. I first listened to Mendelssohn's Concerto in E minor on an LP as a teenager. Mendelssohn rocks (check out his first piano concerto: czcams.com/video/2GGx8TRWFVA/video.html). I disagree about the performance overall, though, especially the last movement. It was an exciting conclusion, for sure, but stylistically flawed. I have tried to research what went wrong, but I couldn't find the technical jargon. At the conclusion, one cord, in particular, is difficult to reach (even Hilary Hahn has missed it before). In the race to finish, Kim skipped it altogether. The performance is brilliant, especially the first two movements, but the ending, I felt, spun out of control.

As a korean, I want to explain her name in english. Bom means Spring , Sori means Sound. So "Bom-sori" means sound of spring.
