I’m gonna do this to my personal set of Chu. I saw a company in Singapore willing to do this for $30, but if all you need is solder tin, a soldering iron, a wire cutters, and epoxy I’ll be brave enough to do the mod myself. Great video!!
That's great! This is a very good starter Iem for an intermediate mod, the chances for failure is very low

Doing this soon, will let yall know how it went. Still prefer my Chu to Salnotes Zero, somehow I get more punchy bass with the chu with the same EQ as zeros... not sure why but its better for me. Zeros will be my gaming IEM, imaging is better :D

Cool, I did the 2pin mod to my Chu, now I can use with my bluetooth module and I love it
Is it working fine with bluetooth module? I thought it's gonna be a bit annoying to connect the bluetooth to a device

I am trying to repair my chu since one side stopped working. While I was soldering the wires, the circular plate on top of the driver ('MOONDROP' is written in the plate) with the solder pads came off. How can I make the connection now?
Can you do this on the chu2?
i did it... it took me 2 hours for both side.
opening the iem is the easiest part which took me 3 min, later on i just can't solder the 2pin to the wire, in the middle of modding, i was thinking to just give up 💀

Is it possible to angle the 2pin connector a little?
yes definitely, when you do the mod you can cut all the metal pieces away and then set your own angle and epoxy them

hey, i have a problem with mine: the volume of the right earbud got suddenly reduced. I tried to wiggle the cable and gently throwing it against the table but to no avail. It stayed that way for like an hour and then it returned to normal. However now, a day later, it's screwed up again.
Have you had this issue with any of your iem's? Do you know what might be causing this? It seems to be a common problem judging by negative reviews on amazon.
try replacing the filter on the nozzle

@@jshroom1717 it's not wax buildup it's air moisture. replace or remove the filters (inside the nozzles). chu are known for condensation problems
hi, unfortunately this is a sign of the magnet on the chu failing and being detached from the coils. These are non reparable but i think you can get a replacement set for cheap now, or you can explore the other verisons
@@sgaudiohive while I think that detached magnet may have been the case for my other earphones, this time it were the filters, like @chestnutrice9855 said. I was really surprised. Using earphones without filters ATM, waiting for the replacement from aliexpress (or maybe I'll just remove the paper component of the filters)
are u able to do this if your headphones have a mic
yep mics dont change the internals of the iem its basically a addon to the wire from what i understand
for iem and headphones with an inline mic, yes, but for a headphone with a built in mic like the gaming ones, you cannot do this

@@sgaudiohive I'm new to aliexpress, does an order of quantity 1 mean you get 1 or 2 jacks? I ask because the pictures have two jacks in each, but the quantity isn't mentioned anywhere else.
