05:04 it only seems like it's all free dancing and movement he does here. He practiced for weeks for that and I'd say probably 85-90% of all movements you see are choreographed by him. He is aware of every camera movement and light and beat, he choreographed whole hour of performance. Sure there are small movements that are free, etc, but the whole carcass of the performance is meticulously constructed. Jhope is perfectionist and he wouldn't wing such important performance. You should watch behind the scenes video for that or Lolla documentary

the fact that they livestreamed this for free and the Weverse app kept on crushing cause there's 15M viewers (there's also viewers in Hulu)
but then they also uploaded his WHOLE 1hr performance on their CZcams channel, also for free...
RM also have his own 1hr mini concert, but he chose a much intimate one with only 200 adult only ARMYs. it's also in their YT channel for free.
their FREE concert in Busan too with I think 50M online viewers and 100k live audience (they later on released it on cenimas worldwide with better audio)
AAAAAANNNNDDDD... FESTA! it's a celebration for their anniversary. but this year's a HUGE celebration bc it's their 10th anniv.. every content they put out are for free. they even have a livestream of their old concerts for free.. and then ended the celebration with a 30min firework show, where 400k ARMYs were present (120k were foreign ARMYs who traveled to Korea for this celebration)

Dreamers is sung by Jungkook not Hobi, the lightsticks are called “ARMY Bombs” & change colour either manually with Bluetooth on your phone or a program setup when you go to a arena concert.
These songs are off Hobi’s Hope World & Jack In The Box solo albums and show his unique rapping skills and cadence which I adore being a BTS rap line bias they all have a unique cadence & flow.
This shows the duality of J-Hope (light side) & Jay (Dark side) aka why he is in black & then changes into white after interval

This is actually three songs - Base Line is from J-Hope's mixtape 'Hope World'; Cypher Part 1 is by the rapline and Hangsang is also from 'Hope World'. As mentioned below in another comment - "-Dreamers" the World Cup song is by Jungkook, not J-Hope. J-Hope is now serving in the military along with Jin. The lights are called Army Bombs. You purchase them and when you go to a concert they are synched via bluetooth and controlled by the staff so that they change colours during the concert, even forming words such as "BTS" and "ARMY" 💜💜💜💜

You've got to check out MORE and Arson live. The whole first half of his Lollapalooza set was so rock heavy but those in particular really felt like you were at a rock concert. I got to attend in person and, within BTS, j-hope has always been known as the stage guy. Like he's the Performance Leader for a reason. His solo songs always steal the show at concerts and it's ARMY canon that everyone leaves a BTS concert a little j-hope biased. He's just really meant for the stage. So we all knew he was going to do something incredible at Lollapalooza. And yet he still blew us away! I've never seen a better live show ever. He's a rockstar.

There's a behind the scene video of his preparation and trust me this is way more choreographed than you think. They're absolute perfectionists. It's also the first time ever Lollapalooza sold out sunday's tickets before saturday's and the entire festival was fondly nicknamed Hobipalooza this time because of him.
    🤘😎🤘
TXT (BTS's "little brothers") also performed at the festival and both Hobi (J-Hope's nickname 😉) and Jimin attended the show. So did their boss and founder Bang PD. I think it says a lot about his values that this multimillionaire enjoyed the festival in denim shorts and yellow clogs. 😂👍

He did it frequently throughout Lollapalooza performance.... in Safety Zone too.. if you watch the his Disney Documentary you can see how much Jhope needed Jimin. Or there is a Bangtantv episode on their CZcams channel-Lollapalooza 2022 which also explains what Jhope went through to give such an amazing performance...you can see his mood change once Jimin arrives too. Then they did a Weverse Live where Jhope described Jimin as being a light that suddenly came on for him when he arrived....it was emotional. He was the first member to try something so huge, he felt the pressure but still smashed it!. Jhope can do all different genres and styles....as can all the members 💜

Hi! Glad you enjoyed watching this. J-Hope's energy is always top tier ^^
One misanderstanding you seem to have and I would like to correct: this part of J-Hope's Lollapalooza concert includes his part in Cypher part 1 as well as 2 of his solo songs (Base Line and Hangsang) BUT Cypher part 1 is actually a song with all 3 rappers of BTS. Same with Cyphers part 2, 3 & 4...
It would be cool to see you react to both the rest of his Lollapalooza concert and the complete Cypher part 1, and then Part 2, 3 & 4 ^^
Also, Dreamers is Jungkook's (also nicknamed JK) song, not J-Hope (also nicknamed Hobi). I know it's not easy to remember names, especially with BTS having 4 people whose name starts with a J. Plus there are real names, stage names and nicknames, that's a lot! I have seen reactors mix up Jin and Jimin because of the similar names and get reaaaally confused because of that... Maybe you could take 1 minute (before recording) to really identify the person you're reacting to? (Like, do a quick google search, maybe with pictures to learn to recognize/differentiate them).

Every K-pop group has a signature light stick. All groups have had official colors since the 90's when H.O.T. branded all their fan merch completely white. Another rival group picked yellow, and then everyone raced to trademark a shade for their fans. At first fan club members wore jackets or waved little flags, or they brought balloons in their group's color. This was back in the '90s. In 2002 store-bought light sticks started showing up, often modded to the color of a group. Shinhwa was orange, Sechkies were yellow. Every group had a different colored light stick. But they were just generic sticks you could get at a party store.
Finally in 2006 BigBang's leader G-Dragon designed an "official" custom light stick for their fans. Everyone followed suit with custom lights after that.
They all shined with only one color at first. Then ARMY did a fan project to surprise BTS at a fan meet in 2017. Everyone popped a purple cellophane bag over their bombs for the encore. Three things later happened because of that night. Purple became the unofficial color for BTS, "borahae" became a word, and BTS introduced an upgraded version of their light stick the following year that used bluetooth to enable color-changing technology. Now everyone has that, too.
Side note: It might surprise you to learn that purple is NOT the official color of BTS. Their colors are silver and black! That's why the ARMY bomb is black, with an opaque globe, not purple. Purple is the unofficial color since that show in 2017. Maybe one day it will become official. We hope so!

This was so fun to watch as Hulu was live broadcasting the whole of Lolapalloza. He absolutely ruled the stage his energy was crazy. Not many artists can build up a crowd like BTS can. The live band also kicks ass. If you haven’t seen it Suga when he’s done his tour has a live band is also incredibly intense. BTS also tours with a live band. Sadly they’ve never released the live versions of songs yet some of the remixes slap harder live.

He is very versatile and talented so he adapts himself and offers his best as is need according on the moment and project (he can be the happy elf, a little Sun and cutie, a swag and powerful dancer, the rapper with light lyrics or with a very swag and distinguishe flow, he can sing and always irradiates the stage). For easy explanation and expression, as an ARMY and MJ fan I would say that in the group exists three MJ descendants kkkkkkkkkkkkk JK, Jimin AND J-Hope. J- Hope is very versatile, he can really and beautifully sing, he IS a Rapper, he is a amazing songwriter and producer, he is a incredible and versatile dancer (the dance lider) AND HE HAS A FLAMING AND RADIANT PERSONALITY AND STAGE PRESENCE.

Because he has been rapping in the rapline segments during bts concerts since debut.
There is the rapline medly of all 4 parts of the cypher series... you will see all 3 of the bts rappers just go off. Jhope has a hiphop background and a liking toward rock music.
He composed the bts tracks dionysus and disease. If you listen to both you can hear that jhope sound.

I think many of us were shocked when 'More' was released and 'Arson' as well. After the intermission, he comes back out on stage in all white and sings some of his older, upbeat songs. FYI, JHope drew the largest audience in Lalapalooza history....over 100,000. ARMY grandma

*Dreamers was Jungkook dudes, not J-Hope.* He's BTS's main vocalist, and youngest. J-Hope is BTS's Dance Leader, and awesome rapper. He's also our Sunshine, and he is our swaggy melodic rapper. Lollapalooza was dubbed Hobipalooza (Hobi is his nickname), after they announced late that he would be headlining in place of Doja Cat (she was sick). Billboard reported that 100,000 ARMY's sold out the Sunday show first, for the first time in Lollapalooza history. And, he was the first Korean/Asian Artist to headline a major American music festival. Not to mention, his performance was EPIC. 🤩
By the way, BTS debuted in 2013, as a Hip Hop Idol group, so *"all their other stuff is Pop like music"* isn't true. You've seen Outro: Tear, Daechwita, RUN BTS, Agust D, Haegeum, and now J-Hope's hard hitting rap songs. Those are definitely no where close to POP music. You could argue that MIC DROP, and FIRE are pop music, because they add elements of EDM and have amazing choreography, but both of those songs are clearly hip hop heavy and also, Mic Drop is clearly a diss track and FIRE is talking about living your life the way you want it. They are not POPPY. Even the more poppy tracks like That, That by PSY and SUGA have a heavy rap verse, and Blood, Sweat, and tears is not a standard pop song, it blends genre's and has deep meaning. I think the only truly pop hit you have watched so far is Dynamite, which was released during the pandemic fully in English, to bring happiness to their fanbase. You really have only reacted about 10 songs, which doesn't even touch the approximately 400 songs in their 10 years of discography. By the way, Dreamers is clearly a pop track, but I believe that is Jungkook's preference of music for his solo projects. Maybe he will surprise us with his upcoming solo project. (Seven release date is July 14, and he will be performing it live on GMA that day)
The official light sticks for BTS are called "ARMY BOMBS" and they are seen at every concert, and they are controlled by Bluetooth, so the staff can program the lights to the music. They even work if you sync them to specific BTS music videos. Here is the shop link. They aren't handed out, ARMY's have to purchase them.

@@DANDJREACT It's all good 😊 I also want to clarity that while Jungkook is a fan of pop music, that's not the only thing he is a fan of. He loves Hip Hop, and R&B, and all the member can create and perform any genre successfully. Jungkook actually was a rapper in their early days, from debut, but he also sang, and that was more his dream, to become a singer like Justin Beiber. He also admires Charlie Puth, and he did a song with him as well called Left and Right. They have also done a collab, performance of one of Charlie Puth's songs at a Korean award show. BTS Members are just very versatile, and they don't limit themselves to one genre of music. I think that is why people say "BTS is the Genre" because they have grown beyond the KPOP label and are part of the mainstream in the music industry now. Even RM has acknowledged that verbally.

Hi guys. It was Jungkook who did dreamers for FIFA. JHOPE was first Korean to headline at Lalapolooza. He was the first to present his solo work. One thing you will notice about BTS, there are 7 men with 7 different colors individually. In their solo works they get to show who they are personally. You can see Hobi (JHOPE) is more of a rocker, Suga has his own awesome style, V is more of a crooner, R&B, Jimin has his own style and now JK has dropped his first solo work and it so unlike BTS it’s simply AWESOME, but yet when they come together as a group they are unmatched. For JHopes show at Lalapalooza there were about 110,000 folks there. Suga had his concerts in 24 cities I think, all sold out. A wrote a long response and lost it and am not up to typing it all out again. Long story short, with all the solo work BTS is putting out and the performances and tours, BTS members are pushing to break out of the kpop confines as well as expectations of their previous work. One of RM's complaints when the announced their hiatus in 2022 was that he didn't like the direction BTS was headed due to the immense popularity of the few feel good English songs they did to uplift people during the pandemic (butter. Permission to dance, etc) he did not feel those were BTS at all and he was frustrated that the trajectory they were on did not allow them to grow up or reflect their maturity. I think the solo work in the past year, including this concert, has a strong strategic element to show a more explicit, raw, and mature BTS as individuals to pave the way for BTS to be more where they want to be when they return after military service.

I think you keep mixing up Jungkook who did the FIFA celebratory Dreamers with J Hope. This set actually includes 2013 and 2018 material so actually J Hope is very much in his character which involves both bravado in the face of unwarranted ridicule and offering a hopeful, optimistic view to life. He is a rapper and dancer first who has broadened his scope to include singing and exploring individual directions outside the idol platform. Boxing him may lead to missing what ARMY knows he brings to the table. Lollapalooza which entailed a dark and a lighter set was all familiar material with even his newly released works getting sing alongs. Based on J Hopes earlier mixtape fans were accustomed to this duality and more than thrilled to see him go hard in his first ever solo performance.

So what leans towards more theatrics and whats raw depends upon the kinda shows bts do. Infact the pattern of release in music itself is different from what you see in the west. I know you confused dreamers for a jhope solo but regardless, dreamers was a project for fifa. Whereas jk's solos that talk about his peronal growth are largely r&b. Their discography apart from collabs, singles and projects tend to be extremely raw even within the pop genre which is actually what propelled bts's fame due to their choice of composition that is different from expected when adressing certain topics.
When they go out doing world tours bts shows turn out even more theatrical than you have seen yet. Especially the transition of the existing setlist. Whereas we have things like muster shows which is more like a festival/gathering and there they do non official versions and are a lot more spontaneous.
The depth to bts's discography is so intricate that it takes sit down listening in order with indulgance in the lyricsm and their artistic growth to fully catch the progression and choice of genres. Take the songs you heard today. These were part of jhope's hope world, which had poppier songs but with harsh commentary and songs with smack beats. I highly recommend watching czcams.com/video/wjQohksI60c/video.html especially as rock fans!
