I see Marine's bronze trophy ain't just for show.
Yeah, it’s funny because people were surprised by how high Marine placed in the last Holo tournament, but she’s really worked hard to get there. I noticed Noel’s also improved a lot since the tournament

Then we see PekoMarine working together and successfully overtaking the advantage Towa had, only to Pekora betray Marine at the very end and steal her first place

This one took me a lot of work! It won't be out tomorrow, but I'll probably do a part two for the second tournament they did. Subscribe if you're interested!
*TL note:* There are parts where I prioritized subbing the girl currently in focus, instead of the girls talking/yelling in the background (especially during the repetitive sections where they cross the finish line). I still made sure that everything made sense, so if you hear unsubbed lines in the background you don't have to worry as they probably weren't important.

There's a Japanese clipping channel that I watch that does it in a similar fashion. They have great compilations of big collab events like Mario Kart and Among Us streams. I like their stuff, so I figured I'd try doing something similar.

I'm reminded back to the new years event when Marine was thought of as a wildcard in the finals, now here she is dominating while not necessarily players of the caliber of Aqua or Suisei still coming out as one of the best
Yeah marine’s gotten pretty good. She might even be a serious contender for first place at the next Holo tournament
I thought she got a bit lucky with Towa's monitor acting up and Matsuri shitting the bed at the last race of their block. But she did very well in the finals. It was a well deserved trophy.

Mario Kart Streams is always interesting since we can see how much did the girls improve from the Cup last year. So much people involved in such a non official event is just miracle, hence they were pretty much competitive and have so much fun too. It's uncanny for the event for not getting a lot of clips, not even 1-4 minutes one let alone a 30 minutes all pov translation. Huge appreciation to your effort man

As someone who mainly watched Luna's POV, it was super funny seeing her carry 4th gen in silence while everyone else was screaming

Thanks for clipping and editing this, these types of events make me so jealous of people that can watch them live and understand whats going on. Also wow Marine is a BEAST at mariokart, guess she doesnt have to worry about losing her drivers license yet due to old age.
I only watched marine's stream then and was glad to see everything else that was happening at the same time. Loved that 4th gen reactions was just as noisy as 3rd gen's.

I watched this live and I was sort of impressed with how well Pekora and Marine work together in this. Like, when they both get near the front Pekora will play as a sweeper just to make sure Marine can take the win.
Damn... Suisei's a Tetris ace, and Marine's pretty damned good at MK...
Well she won third place in the Holo New Year's Cup against MK gamers like Okayu, Fubuki and Towa. Suisei is good too, she won 1st place against 2019 Champion Aqua
@@eddardblackhart6305 I think Aqua is still the strongest MK8DX player in Hololive at that point. Suisei winning is part her competitive nature part luck, she trained hard for that 1st place. But next year Aqua still have a chance to reclaim her trophy.
@@samakechijowo Yeah, Aqua is still without a doubt the strongest MK8DX player in hololive, but sadly that is not enough to win every time in a game like mario kart
Aqua is better than Suisei, they are both pro though. Aqua’s understanding of the map is ridiculous I saw her pull off very long drift like crazy. For the rest I think Towa and Luna stand out the most. Towa even won that high place even though she got disconnected in the 2nd round in the champion cup. And Marine who was pretty ‘happy go lucky’ in the new year cup beating everyone else in the 3rd and 4th gen here, she becomes quite good.

Towa is really good, she was trying her best. Watame is not a bad player but racing against Marine and Pekora is really tough.
