I’d just like to say that I am OBSESSED with your motherhood/pregnancy videos. I have been searching and searching for motherhood vlogs that I connect with and I haven’t had any luck until now. My pregnancy is almost identical to your second one (symptom/feelings wise) and everything you say speaks to me so much. You have been informative, realistic and down to earth. Thank you so much!!

When I was pregnant with my 2nd, I used maternity shape wear with my dresses to support belly in trimester 2 and 3. I workouted through entire pregnancy so workout wear was a must for me. ASOS has the most amazing maternity section. For mommas looking to save money they also have an maternity outlet. The dress I wore for my babyshower was gorgeous and only 13.00.

Congratulations Susan! I am at a similar stage with my second pregnancy also. Your suggestions rang true with me. One additional one I have for very bad heartburn is Ranitidine (that’s the name of it in the UK anyway). It’s prescribed rather than over the counter but is very safe and it works like a charm when Tums/Rennies aren’t cutting it anymore!

Thanks for sharing! Just some suggestions during pregnancy or breastfeeding...
    1. Heartburn- try drinking cold almond milk. It gave me immediate relief but I also carried Tums in my purse if I couldn’t get my hands on a cold glass of AM. Avoid acidic food like tomato, pasta sauce, etc. Sleep at an angle instead of flat (use pillows to prop you up a bit).
    2. Metal taste in mouth- your body at the moment could be iron deficient so try to consume a lot of dark leafy green vegetables like spinach, kale, etc.
    3. Target has cute maternity clothing essentials at a cheaper (sometimes) price.
    4. Nausea- Getting fresh air ( I would literally stick my head out of the car window or put my face right up to the open window at home hehe) doing breathing exercises, & always carrying healthy snacks in my purse seemed to help my nausea. I had snacks with me everywhere...on my nightstand, on the coffee table, purse, car, etc.
*Of course consult your OB/GYN beforehand 🙂👶🏻

37 weeks today, thank the lord I didn’t have any heart burn. But the first two trimesters my hg was so bad! I lost almost 30 pounds being sick literally 24/7. If anyone else is going through that ask for the “nausea gel” from your dr. It saved my life and I was very mad they didn’t prescribe it earlier in my pregnancy. You just rub it on your wrists, but it actually works I promise.

He would give me massages or crack my mid back. I would definitely recommend trying it out if you want to lay on your stomach. Just a helpful tip if you do end up getting it, use the swaddle that is included over the hole before laying down. This will help cradle your bump. :)

The only issue with eating unpasteurized foods is the risk of getting food poisoning. If you didn’t get food poisoning you are fine.

There is a theoretical medical risk to the fetus, so it should be avoided. Single studies have shown things like ibuprofen interferes with the descending of testicles & increases the risk of 1st trimester miscarriage. It's probably fine to take on occasion, but people just err on the side of caution. This is my understanding, anyway. Most OB providers give patients a list of meds that are okay to take. You'll know what you should and shouldn't take when your time comes ☺️

What is your view on vaccinations? Currently struggling to make a choice. It’s so controversial. Really curious to see what you think :)

Cole Koon please vaccinate your children :) I know there is a lot of conflicting information out there but a lot of it is not based in science and is fear mongering. Vaccination is important for combatting disease not just for your children but also the people they interact with like children and adults who have compromised immune systems, like my cousin with cystic fibrosis. My partner is a pediatric doctor and he has to explain to nervous parents all the time that the link between vaccinations and autism and such is not founded in fact through studies that have been frequently peer-reviewed. Yes, sometimes vaccinations for flu can cause a weakened version of the illness they prevent, but that’s because of how they’re made, which you can look up, and that doesn’t result in long term damage. I know it’s scary making health choices for your baby, but protecting them and others against sickness is very important. Have a lovely day!

I know this is a sensitive issue but it PISSES me off! The doctor who published the study linking autism is a quack and admitted he committed fraud in the study! The fact that miserable, painful childhood diseases that were eradicated are back now because of "concerned parents" If you do choose not to vacinnate please inform everywhere your child goes playgroup, mommy and me, church, daycare, preschool, of this fact SO that we concerning parents can make an informed decision about whether we want to expose our child to your child's seriously scary childhood disease vulnerability! My child should not have to serve as a herd immunity scapegoat for your child! I wish all antivaxers would get together and live in their own communities, start their own schools etc...There is very little that pissed me off more! It's not just A PERSONAL PRIVATE choice, you are making that choice for all of us without our consent!

I thought stretch marks was caused from scratching? Almost all the women in my family got stretch marks and I made sure to not scratch my belly and I didn't get any however i did scratch my boobs and i got tons of stretch marks on them😬

    • @amberpaul4245
      @amberpaul4245 Před 4 lety +1

Veronica Herrejon I think the scratching is because your skin is itchy BECAUSE it’s stretching. As soon as you feel an itch, and hopefully before, lather up with oil.

So, I watch your video, purchase the peppermint oil linked in your description and it comes in the mail and says ON THE BOTTLE, do not use if pregnant. Why would you do that? Why would you promote something and give a link that’s harmful? Really frustrated by that. Not ok.

Chilu Yumbe it is her responsibility to take the time to say 1 sentence in her video on why doctors also say it’s not safe in your first trimester. Don’t have links to products that ON THE BOTTLE say do not use while pregnant. Of course everyone also researches everything but don’t do a video and provide a link to purchase something that’s harmful. Common sense.
