Its either skins or making the game pay2play. In regards to the longetivity of the game, maybe even a subscription model. Keep in mind Valve is a company and therefor their first priority is making money and not only releasing the best games.
I prefer first as long as it's not getting absurd and/or conflicts with the competitive side of the game (visibility/hitboxes)
Edit: My response is solely regarding the financial model of CS, them not caring about the Anti-Cheat is indeed a shame, but it's also different teams. (Skins/AC-Team)
Yes of course they arent doing any work, lets just forget about that new Vac that was banning players with high dpi that they certainly abandoned inestad of working on it, and how dare they make any other updates till its finished
tbf you cant really slap a developer that specializes in adding gameplay features and cosmetics to handle Anticheats and network issues.

I believe the “pet” text that was data mined is not in reference to having actual pets but maybe petting the chicken or any other animal they may add to a map in the future
i think the Pet thing could be a feature for Danger zone or some operation coop missions
Oh so NOW valve wants to update there games but not the one that has a botting problem that has gotten so bad to the point where there the bot hosters are doxing, hassasing, inpersonating and swating any one who they dont like.

There could also be an update that could be used to reflect the stickers,
there are several stickers that would look better if you looked in the other direction, for example the fireball....

I just closed the game after playing 2 matches back to back with the whole enemy team every time being is blatant wallhackers and I the one who got mute banned for no reason even though they the ones spamming slurs and other insults also my steam pfp got removed and was banned for 7 days from adding another pfp because it was "inappropriate" I had the same pfp as the one on this youtube account how it's "inappropriate" when I seen people with literally nsfw pfp but giga chad wearing shal and iqal is "inappropriate"?
What exactly gives away the maps being added to the game on the workshop page? I'm just curious as to how people figured it out, you say "they don't hide it" but I don't even see what they're not hiding lol

People fail to realise the people working on AC is probably a small dedicated team. So ofc things will release in the meantime. Still kinda sucks but I have hopes
valve's entire company is a small team in comparison to the rest of the gaming industry, and valve has gone on record to say they hate iterating on a new solution to the same original problem (treadmill work) so i doubt they are even working on it at all

If it releases these things without any anti cheat changes I am quitting man..
Valve isn't gonna announce anti-cheat changes unless they do a full 180 and start requiring a more invasive anti-cheat to play on their servers. Don't get your hopes up waiting for Valve to say "Hey, we improved our anti-cheat!".
Cheating is an arms race and the more obfuscated and less documented it is, the better for the anti-cheat. Valve announces they changed the anti-cheat and cheaters already have the upper hand to start figuring out how the new anti-cheat works. Otherwise they're stuck scrambling for longer trying to figure out why their cheats are being detected now. It's why shadow-bans in games are super effective (and something I think CS should do).
If you're unsure of what Shadow Bans are: Shadow Bans are bans that are not displayed to the user and instead of restricting access, it puts you into a separate queue with others who are shadow-banned.
You wont be missed, I quit and no one cares. And no one should.

@@MythicTF2shadow bans do happen in cs2 (called global cooldown), happens to a friend whose closet cheating. Gabe follower also talked about it a few videos ago.

Shadow Bans would literally be not telling the cheaters or people banned that they have cooldowns, and just quietly putting them in a separate queue.
If you're being told in any way that you have a ban of any sorts, its not a shadow ban. Those bans just don't show up on your steam account and thats it.
Same, will sell 1000€ inventory if they don't fix the game till autumn and quit for good
If there is no anti-cheat/overwatch I'm done.
Valve always demos stuff with whatever projects are best suited, so I wouldn't ever assume something is for the game the leak was found in.
I can't wait to have even less FPS because of the hair animations!! So excited!
Here is a theory I have, I think the fy_poolday map will end up in the game officially and since the map seems to have a switch that turns the map into OG CS style, it will be a part of the "25th anniversary" update, which will be the theme of the new operation.
I hope they introduce some zombie mode (escape maybe?) it would be awesome!

Capture the Chicken? It's a free for all until someone grabs the chicken, then the objective is to chase down the person holding the chicken.
At the end of the match, the person with the most time wins.
Also, team based capture the chicken.
Teams will have to bring the chicken back to "their base" in order to get a point. I think it would be more interesting if it operated differently than cs_ modes, and team members instantly respawn. If the team "guarding" the chicken, touches it after downing their opponents, then the chicken teleports back to the teams base who are guarding the chicken. Each team has a chicken. Essentially it would work just like Halo CTF.

I feel like if you could troll the enemy team in competitive by buying an airdrop of chickens onto their spawn before the round starts, the game would be a little less toxic (if ofc people don't just spam it saying something gamer like "hey you like cocks?" etc.)

Nah, I don't think they'll add such a thing for cs, It can actually give away info to other ppl, for example ur behind a wall but ur pet is running behind you to catch up to you and someone see the pet is free info for him, It's so unlikely for them to add this even in Casual modes
