Love the vivid colors in the Asian fabric ~ that would be my choice 💜
The black paisley! The colors are vibrant and contrast so beautifully with the black!
I wish there was a love button for this video. I am currently making my first stack and whack quilt and I'm hooked! I like the second to last one that you featured, the Asian looking fabric with the black. I already can't wait to start a new one! Thank you for the tips on choosing fabrics for this project! ❤️
I love the black paisley and the one you have to buy
I did one of these quilts a couple of years ago. I bought two square mirrors in the candle section at Dollar Tree and taped them together on one side to form a hinge, with mirrored sides facing. You can then move the mirrors over different parts of the fabric to see what each block would look like.
Great tip!
Me too! Great way to see if the fabric would be a good choice for this method
Great idea. About to make one but I have to figure out how to use a ruler that isn't fancy like the ones mlst quilters use. I just have a straight ruler amd a drawing compass tool and graph paper. I. Cheap. Spent tones of money on fabrics.. I'm a beginner. I can't do simple I have to go full blown adventurous..
You know my favorite it the one you don't have enough of 😉. I think the birds would be a great choice. Every Stack & Wack I've seen totally surprised me I how it changed the look of the pattern. It would be fun to see!
Asian/ paisley, I think, would be beautiful ♥️
I love the paisley, it would make a beautiful stack and wack
I really love the Asian print. I did one many years ago in a similar print and it was amazing of all the different designs. That is my pick for you. Have a great and blessed day
I think the paisley with the pinks, purples, & reds would be bright, bold and BEAUTIFUL! 😍😍😍...
I just saw the date on this, so I guess I'm a little late...🤣😂🤣😂
I love the AnnaMaria Horner print and the bird print. I love the butterfly print too, but don’t think it will work well for what you want to do. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I like the black and pink paisley for your stack and wack.
I'd choose the black or teal, but the yellow would be nice. I made one for my oldest daughter when the book first came out. It was a lot of fun. I'm hooked on hexagons now. I have a couple of fabrics to choose from. Basically the same initial process. Have fun!
I like the paisley those colors call my name, but I also like the Anna Marie Horner. Which ever is going to be very beautiful
I think the black paisley one would look great
I like the birds. Can't wait to see the end result. Whichever one you decide on will be beautiful.
I like the digital bird print…so many colors! ❤
I like the Asian Inspired one. Those paisleys look great to create swirled blocks. I'm not big on white. The other fabric is great looking.
I like the paisley
I'd choose the birds. Imagine that you've got all the heads in one block and all the tales in another. That will look awesome and so cute
Stay tuned...
A couple of square or rectangular mirrors brought together at an angle might help you select cuts as well.
I think the pink paisley would work best.p, especially if you want to use what you have. I also like the Anna Maire Hoerner.
Asian fabric is my choice
Buy more of the yellow/chartreuse butterfly. I have made 3-4 previously and that would be the best of ALL. The black/orange/pink would work also but not have near as much “punch” factor. It is almost the more garish the fabric the better the stack-nwhack will turn out! I will be making one right along with you!
Love the variety of colors in the Anna Marie Horner. That would be my choice. 😀
Good choice!
Black paisley!
The black paisley
Donna Jordan ❤
From Jordan Fabrics has a video that explains it with a mirror
Love her videos
My vote is for the digital bird print.
I like the fabric with the black background. It looks oriental to me! I would be Leary of the butterflies as they are lined up.
Yellow butterflies would provide lots of different triangles. Can’t wait to see what u decide.
Loved this, i liked the Anna Marie Horner fabric
The Anna Marie Horner fabric is what I would pick. 😊
The Anna Maria Horner is my first pick, but the black background print would be good if you don’t want to buy more fabric. Looking forward to see how this project goes! Have a great day!
All four fabrics are vibrant, however I prefer the digital bird print fabric.
Definitely the Anna Maria Horner!
I’d use the dark because it speaks to me. But for you, I’d do the paisley but the cabbages and butterflies are a close second.
Hi 👋 Sheri, wow, tough decision the two that I think you’d have the best results with are the light blue print and the Anna Maria Horner fabric I know that you really don’t want to purchase more of it but that’s my #1 pick! I think 🤔 you would love how it would turn out! 😊
Black red orange
Paisley please.
Good morning Sheri. I’m liking the paisley or The Anna Maria Horner. Can’t wait to see this. I haven’t made one of these yet. Curious to see what you choose.
Will be following along, anxious to see what you pick. Enjoyed the input of people , they changed my mind from the Asian print to the Horner print for more contrast. Hope you are able to get more of it if it is your pick.
I think the AnnaMarie Horner fabric would make beautiful kaleidoscope quilt blocks! I know you don’t have enough for a quilt but what about making a table runner?
I would use the Anna Marie fabric.
Yellow has the best chance of variety.
Anna Marie Horner! 😻
Can’t wait to see which you pick-I do love the one you DO NOT want to buy more of…that would be my problem too!! 😂
The only thing is-you mention “I don’t have enough”…WHAT are we to look for in our stash or to buy (as far as yardage) TO HAVE enough?
I’m hoping to follow along with my own.
Thanks for the inspiration! ❤️
5 yard cuts on average. It depends on the frequency of the repeat. All of my choices were 5 yard cuts except for the Anna María Horner which was 3 yards.
I didn’t realize till the end that you only need 1 kind of fabric. For some reason I thought it took several fabrics for a one block wonder 🤷♀️
Lt. blue with the rainbow birds!
The Anna Maria Horner
The Paisley
Yellow with the butterflies😂❤
I think you should do the Annamarie fabric…that you’d need to purchase more. I think it just has enough contrast for the kleidoscope quilt.
Anna Marie Horner hands down : )
Sorry...
I'm thinking of making one after seeing the video
Ooo...I hope you do!
I think the Anna Maria Horner will give more contrast to your kaleidoscope
Unfortunately, the best choice is the one you do not have enough of, but the butterflies would be my second choice.
Thank you!
The birds.
I made a lap quilt for my mom many years ago. The designs are unique .
Have you heard of the mirror test? It gives you an idea of what the block would look like. I will try to find it for you.
I see that mentioned here in the comments
I choose the Tula butterfly or the asian print
I really like this
if you have enough fabric for 4 repeats you can make a square kaleidoscope block. which is fairly interesting.
I’ve actually seen that I think 🤔
I would use the Anna Marie Horner
The yellow. Anna Marie Horner
Annamaria Horner would make by far a better stack and whack. And in those unusual colors it would be outstanding.
Agreed!
black paisely
If you don't want to buy more Anna Marie Horner, can't you do some of the blocks with butterflies? The colors of those butterflies look very similar to the others.
Hadn’t considered that 🤔
Se the Anna Maria Horner gold with butterflies and flowers.
Use a mirror and maybe talk about how many repeats you need for hexis
Anna Marie Horner
I don't think the birds or butterflies will work as well as either of the other two. The Horner one is my first pick.
Well I think you should go right ahead and go ahead.
😅
Paisley
Yellow piece
Sorry but definitely the Anna Maria Horner.
I took a kaleidoscope class. The only good thing I got out of it was to take photo of fabric and turn it into black and white so you can really see contrasts. My blocks were very pretty but instructor ruined my fabric. She was also very rude and just a *hidden* nasty person. I’ll try to send you a pic in email today.
Please do
Birds
Why not show us examples so we can see why a fabric is a good or bad choice?
That would be nice, I hear you can do that using two mirrors.

Be aware of so many times saying "tch-uh".
Thanks! It’s harder than it sounds
Please don’t cut up the bird fabric…it’s too cute the way it is! 😂 Use the one you need more of…it seems to fit all of the qualifications best!
We shall see...
I think I might need to find an awesome 5 yds and make one of these. I made a black and white one years ago but its still a UFO 🥲
Definitely the Anna Marie Horner!
Paisley please
