You're welcome, thanks for your comment!
Excellent lesson and content! Very informative and technical! I've read that the "y" sound at the end of words such as "city" or "happy" also had an "ɪ" sound in the old RP accent, which today was replaced by the "i:" sound, as you've mentioned. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, RP used to use the /ɪ/ sound at the end of words like 'happy'.
Hi teacher, I would like to thank u , thank you for making learning an enjoybale experience. You're such a professional teacher. I love your accent and im learning it beacuse I love british anccent and the culture of english people ❤❤😍
Thank you for your kind comment, I'm glad you like my videos!
Spanish language only has five vowel sounds 😅
Very interesting, thanks for your comment!
The height the IPA symbol ɔ represents is wrong in your video. ɔ is much more open, like in the Italian word 'posta' (/'pɔsta/), in the French word 'sort' (/'sɔʁ/), or in the German word 'Norden' (/'nɔɐ̯den/).
Thanks for your comment. Phonemic symbols are shown between slashes// phonetic symbols are shown between square brackets [ ]
@@LeanEnglishPronunciation It's not a matter of phomenic vs phonetic represantation. According to Dr Geoff Lindsey (he has a youtube channel), it's about wrong symbols that are used traditionally even today.
