    Excellent lesson and content! Very informative and technical! I've read that the "y" sound at the end of words such as "city" or "happy" also had an "ɪ" sound in the old RP accent, which today was replaced by the "i:" sound, as you've mentioned. Thanks for sharing!

    The height the IPA symbol ɔ represents is wrong in your video. ɔ is much more open, like in the Italian word 'posta' (/'pɔsta/), in the French word 'sort' (/'sɔʁ/), or in the German word 'Norden' (/'nɔɐ̯den/).

      @@LeanEnglishPronunciation It's not a matter of phomenic vs phonetic represantation. According to Dr Geoff Lindsey (he has a youtube channel), it's about wrong symbols that are used traditionally even today.
