They want us to forget our history. People who dont know their history are doomed to repeat the mistakes of past and can not build a future, thats why. But it would be interesting to know which part they left out. Could you explain?

No they weren't. Common misconception is that the Mujahideen and Taliban were the same people. In reality, during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, millions of civilians fled the country. Many orphans and religious fundamentalists (extremists mainly) settled just across the border into Pakistan which has been historically unhappy with their neighbor (remember this bit). Now after a decade or so, with the CIA providing some of the major Mujahideen factions with weapons, and the Soviet Union starting to collapse, multiple major Mujahideen factions were starting to surround Kabul. The USSR finally left Afghanistan leaving their Soviet-backed communist government practically dissolved (the party leader was literally hiding in an Embassy or something to that effect). Within barely any time at all after the Soviets left, the first of the major Mujahideen factions came to "Liberate" the city and people were happy for like a Day, because whilst the Mujahideen were fighting the soviets, the collapse of the Central government left a power vacuum that all these Mujahideen Holy Warriors (turned straight up Warlords at this point) wanted Kabul. And they began firing on eachother. The people were heartbroken. The major factions who everyone thought to be their heroes in the tribal lands just started destroying Kabul for control. This lasted a couple of years, but remember those Orphans and extremists living in Pakistan for a decade? They were funded by the Pakistan government to ride in, well armed, with tanks even, claiming to be holy clerics that were gonna set things straight and bring justice to the Warlords who had tore the country apart yet again... some Mujahideen fled, most dared not fight holy clerics... So many joined these new liberators who call themselves "The Taliban"... After brief fighting, the mujahideen turned warlords fled the country or went into hiding. When the Taliban entered, they didn't turn out to be quite as full of justice as they claimed to be and immediately killed the old leader of Kabul and hung him up for all to see. There were no trials, TV movies and many electronics were banned (even simple kites). Women were segregated and forced to wear Burkas and were beaten for any reason the men saw fit. Male Children could only learn Islamic teachings for the most part, women were completely segregated and without rights. Men weren't allowed to shave, and most lived in fear... The old soccer stadium in Kabul was used as an execution arena...
So yes the USA did give money to the Mujahideen to fight the Soviets, they more or less blended in with the Taliban if they couldn't flee. Pakistan completely indoctrinated the refugees of a war torn country and used them to further their own agendas... look up Kabul life in the 60s... Different world...

Alhamdulilah the Brave Taliban defeated the American Invaders. The situation is much better than it was during the American occupation.
The Aamerican occupiers are gone. Afghan civilians live in peace and don't have to worry about American drone strikes wiping out their entire village.
Now Afghanistan is actually ruled by Afghans who know the languages and customs of the people.
The only reason there are still problems is because of American economic sanctions. The Americans are also trying to prevent medicine and aid from entering Afghanistan.
Since the Americans realised there is no way that they can defeat the Afghans on the battlefield, they resort to economic sanctions and propaganda.
The Americans ran away like chickens. American soldiers are cowards who only join the army for salary.
We Muslims are brave warriors who fight to protect our people and defend our honour and we don't mind being martyrs.
    May Allah Bless the Taliban
