Jacob Drury i want a DLC where we experience the events after Doom 64 wearing the classic Armour with weapon designs based on the originals kinda like the Plasma gun in this game is very much the classic. Doom guy has a handful of lines which seem crazy he’s talking to himself you’re very underpowered too compared to the Doom Slayer we know from the main game but your far more brutal. This would make for a great prequel to the events of Doom 16 and Eternal and let’s us tie in the classic games with the new ones instead of reading text upon text about it

I mean, the dialogue feels sort of deranged, like the ramblings of someone with heavy paranoia due to trauma, despite coming from the guy who had the prowess to kill a titan with his bare hands. But what people don't have in mind is that Doomguy is still a human after all, and he barely survived literal Hell after closing its doors from the inside. He was bound to lose it at least a bit, plus without even the slightest human contact. These scenes just take advantage of such a thing and give the writers an excuse to reference that hilariously awful comic dialogue again.
@@JadieMae23 To me this moreso looks like their attempt to canonize the comic further, after they've already added all the "rip and tear" stuff. It just happens to double as a fun reference as well. Having him be batshit insane is a good way to canonize it unironically, since it implies "yeah he was fucking nuts in that comic" while also implying that he went through some kind of developmental phase between media, considering he's noticeably more sane and reserved now.
Sigma the outcast Also, remember this was BEFORE he got the powers the seraphim bestowed upon him. He got them later on when the Betrayer did his deed. So that adds to why he was affected during this time. It also shows how he sort of lost the trauma after that scene and into the current doom we are now in.
Because he sounds like guttural, boring shit. He doesn't even let out a war cry or anything of the sort to assert badassery. There's no reason for him to speak at all. In fact the only reason it's explained why he doesn't speak as the doom slayer is that he "just stopped feeling like it" in one of the codex writings. Wish he didn't feel like talking in these cutscenes.
Hearing a guy who has never talked actually talk is one of the best feelings in the world. You think you’ll never get to actually hear what they sound like and then BAM!

He ripped and tear as his mind became a singluar entity in a bid to deal with the situation. His sole focus was to kill them all. Most people would view surviving as their sole goal. Doomguy embraced the rage. He became insane with rage and refused to die. He is a man that is literally too angry to die and forced himself to move forward. Then he got some demonic steroids and Doomguy was a guy no more. He became Rage, Brutality and no mercy incarnate. He no longer rages. He is beyond rage. He exists to kill demons and for him, it's just second nature. Rip and tear, he did. Rip and tear.
But the question is, does doomguy/slayer knows that by having a linear mind which is killing demons he actually saving humanity or that salvation is just a byproduct of doom guy/slayers doings?

Also he knows how to take things but he doesn't really care about how he gets the said thing like the Bfg weapon. I was always into doom even though my first doom game was eternal but you could count 64 but I only played a bit of it. Doomguy has high thoughts but the ay he does them make you think he just does it with no thoughts at all but who can blame him. If I was trapped in Hell and forced to fight demons for a unknown amount of time I would also go insane
It was stated somewhere that Doomguy is actually pretty much just any other person in normal circumstances. He is incredibly violent to the point of insanity when slaughtering Demons but in a crowd of people he'd actually not stand out at all (And he has a high moral code when it comes to Humans too I believe)
He didn't die in E1M8, but he was badly injured and fell into a short coma. If you check the healthbar, the game automatically stops after Doomguy's health dropped under a certain value, but not zero. You wake up from that coma on Deimos at E2M1.

The Ubergewehr is basically a BFG that draws its ammo/energy from another dimension - similar to how the BFG9000 in Doom 2016 and this game draws power from Argent-infused entities.

I would say this is probably sometime after Doom 64 when doom guy decided to stay in Hell and slay the demons. He probably went mad from killing demons over and over again and wandered into Setinel Prime.
I saw so many people were convinced on the theory that the Doom Slayer was actually the Betrayer, but I always clung to the idea that he is the first Doomguy. I was happy to see that I was right :)
When his first in game words where mad ramblings i was confused, then after a quick second i realized how much watching everyone die (including the only thing you care about aka your rabbit) then going through literally hell itself would probably drive most people insane real quick, may you be the one they fear or not
Not only are Doom 1, 2, 64, 2016, and Eternal are connected, but they also made the comic canon as well. Fucking amazing. Next thing I know is that Quake is also connected to Doom since that also uses slipgates and the first Quake game has you jumping in different dimensions.

Yes actually, it's in the collectible lore and is fundamentally important to this and(retroactively) Doom 2016s' timeline. Another character at a certain point even flat out blames him for everything that happened in the story, although it's not like he wanted any of this to happen.
“Ah yes, let’s make this random human that seems completely devoted to killing demons into an unstoppable being of pure power that is completely capable of killing us in the most painful way possible.”
It makes sense for him to talk back then and not in the present. At that time he was an injured soldier, traumatized by the demons. But now hes quite literally being called an all powerful being by the Khan Makyr

The developers literally told us Doomguy was the Doom Slayer back when 2016 came out.

I saw so many people were convinced on the theory that the Doom Slayer was actually the Betrayer, but I always clung to the idea that he is the first Doomguy. I was happy to see that I was right :)

Not only are Doom 1, 2, 64, 2016, and Eternal are connected, but they also made the comic canon as well. Fucking amazing. Next thing I know is that Quake is also connected to Doom since that also uses slipgates and the first Quake game has you jumping in different dimensions.

I like the mix of trauma and drive. You can hear it he's seen hell and is forever scared but mixed in is unrelenting hate, forever drive to move through

Yes actually, it's in the collectible lore and is fundamentally important to this and(retroactively) Doom 2016s' timeline. Another character at a certain point even flat out blames him for everything that happened in the story, although it's not like he wanted any of this to happen.

Honestly I'd start talking like that if I fought against demons for hundreds of years.
It makes sense for him to talk back then and not in the present. At that time he was an injured soldier, traumatized by the demons. But now hes quite literally being called an all powerful being by the Khan Makyr
