- Welp, this is officially the best bike that I've ever had. I know that it might be overkill for the trails that we ride, but I still love this bike. For the price, it is an amazing option, and will definitely last me many years to come. Hopefully you enjoyed this video, and thank you guys for watching...

Just watched a vid of you fitting a new shock to your bike (2 years ago) and people were straight talking shit. Glad you never took what they said to heart. Nice bike btw
Damn my boi really flexin out here with them air pods, a commencal full sus, and a new fit 🔥🔥🔥
Great bike! Looking forward to some new vids on the new ride. Will make a great bike for those N* trips next year.
Your buddy is stoned and his reaction to the knife was hilarious LOL
oml daniel, ive been waiting my whole life for this
From riding a walmart bike to owning 3 high end bikes (or more or less idk how many you got) thats just impressive as hell and in such a short time period its just insane! Mad props to you dude keep up the amazing work towards becomming a better rider
Vasko The Scout Main Thank you! I thought this was a hate comment at first 😅 I appreciate the kind words, I’m trying to progress as much as I can!
@@DanielB4life Haha, your welcome. I'm also trying to get better because i bought a DH bike in december and im sort of a beginner soo yea
Congratulations bro..its awesome to have q dad that loves Cycling too cool dad bro
Great bike for the money, espescially! Your riding has improved steadily; this bike will help you go further. Where are those sick rocks & trails at? Great job, man. Good to see you sticking with it.

Near Granite Bay, CA

That’s one of the many rocks there. If you look there on google maps with satellite view, you can see many of the big rock slabs there. And yeah, this bike is very good for the price. Thanks for watching!
I have that same bike in the gunmetal color. Absolutely love it, these bikes shred!
u have a higher model the origins dont come in gun metal
Great vid bro keep up the good work/ very underrated
Just got my bike too it’s a Santa Cruz nomad cc and it’s all I could ever ask for happy holidays
Nice bike yooo. I love commencals and I have a Meta HT myself
Excellent bike, congrats...I bought Clash 2020 too
bike looks great, im about to order the meta am team, cant wait to ride it
congrats on the bike.🙂
@DanielB4life since this is budget model I see in spec that it does not have rear shock lockout? Is this something you would want to have or there is already plenty of support for climbing?
Really nice bike. I’m jealous
Sweet bike I hope to see some shredding on that !!
You should send me it for "testing" 🤔
It would probably be less expensive to buy one.
5:45 you need to cycle the airshock in 20% of its travel about 15 times to balance the positive and negative air chambers. Do this any time the bike has been sitting for a long time, servicing the shock or when adding 50psi. Your shock will perform correctly and feel better this way.
sweet riding, nice riding area.
I have buy me the Clash origini yesterday i'm soooo hyped
Congratulations
When I need a new one I will buy this one
Nice vid 😂🤔😂1️⃣
Awesome bike ! ! ! COMMENCAL is the best ! ! !
Epic vid buddah
Ich liebe die Optik von dem Bike
Daniel ,just watched your video on your new bike the Commencal clash. is it a good bike I am really interested in getting this bike or either the Commencal meta origin hard tail in this. would you recommend the bike and also I'm 6'2" tall what size would you recommend (large or x large).
many thanks man
Andy Curtis I haven’t tried the Hardtail, or the meta, so I can’t say anything on them, but I really love my bike. It climbs surprisingly well for how much travel it has. It is also decently nimble, so that’s nice. For 6’ 2” I’d definitely recommend a XL, it should be the perfect size, but if you like a smaller bike you can get the large. Thanks for watching!
God video great bike
I could only dream of a bike like that
Nicely shot and fun video to wach, good job!
And btw did the tyres had sealent?
Georgi Geeksky no, they came with tubes sadly, but the tires and rims are tubeless ready, so just buy valves and sealant and you have tubeless tires
This little dude breaks bread.
Yo dude, I just ordered the same bike, wondering if you needed to bleed your brakes when you first got it?
Nope, you just have to bed them in and they work like a charm.
Nice video. Would you mind telling me your height and what frame size you choose ?Cuz Iooked at the commencal website and I am 5’11 which is right in the middle between M and L. Thanks
I'm also 5'11, and the large is perfect. I had a medium bike, the trek, and it just felt a little too small. My dad has an XL and it is just too big. So for me I like the large because it is the perfect in between.
DanielB4life 1. Amazing review 🙌 2. How tall is Dad. I'm 6' 2 .... Do I go XL?
@@freddys2465 My dad is 5' 10, but he has an XL Giant Reign because we bought it on Craigslist. It was too good of a deal so we bought it. It isn't the same as my bike, but at 6' 2, id say go for XL, that should be perfect.
DanielB4life I thought so too however the site shows my height to fit both l and xl so I'm confused 🤣
Stoked
hey bro,,,ur bike looks awesome....does it do good on jumps? safe ride bro...icefox here..
hi is the frame white can’t rlly tell cos would get this with white tyres if it is
The frame is like a really light cream color. It’s hard to describe, but it’s slightly darker than white. But white tires would look good on this bike…
How does it pedal uphill? Does the suspension move when pedalling?
Kenny Rider The suspension obviously moves a little bit, but it still climbs exceptionally well. The Eagle drive train, and putting the seat all the way forward on the rails helps a lot.
DanielB4life So you would also recommend it for (longer) Enduro Tours?
Kenny Rider Um, I don’t know about longer tours, but I think there wouldn’t be a problem with the bike. The most collective climbing I’ve done in a day was over 4,200 feet elevation. It was fine but I just got tired from it.
DanielB4life Alright. Thank you very much!🙏🏻
I am going to buy this bike tomorrow.
Niko Nice, lmk how you like it when you get it
@@DanielB4life Sure! Btw your vids are super quality content! Keep up with the amazing job!
Add frame protecter and also move dropper from old bike and chain guide
Wanna Ride Bikes I would move the dropper, but I’m giving the trek to my uncle as a Christmas present.
Does it climb well, thinking of getting the signature model
illuminati420 420Blazeit it climbs decently well, especially for the weight, it’s 35 pounds(with out dropper), but you can’t really feel it thanks to the 1x 12. I also slammed the seat all the way forward on the rails, and tilted the nose down, so that also helps. It isn’t as great of a climber compared to a trail bike, but If you like to have more fun on the downhill, this bike is a great option. If you end up getting the signature, let me know how you like it.
@@DanielB4life Awesome, will do 👍
Where are these trails and what are you other favorite local trails
These trails are in Granite Bay, right next to Folsom lake California. These are my favorite trials for jumping, there are a lot of jumps that are easy to progress on. My favorite trails just for riding are in Auburn CA.
You should go to the granite bay trail again🙌
I mean high end bikes don’t have reflectors but I mean sure if you want to but I just think the bike looks better with non and ig it’s more safe if you add some lol
I'm really hesitating cause of the fact that this version doesn't have a piggyback..
I love my HT AM Origin.. And it'd be funny to have a bike that's basically it's bigger brother..
Edit: I decided to just go for it and get my dream bike.. The most expensive clash on the market right now, should be able to get it in exactly 1 year.
Stuck between this an a yt Capra the yt has a better spec but the warranty’s are a bit weird
What size did you get
I got a size Large
I am looking at buying the new 2021 clash. I am only a little hesitant due to the long travel as it might be overkill for my neck of the woods (New Brunswick Canada).
The Hook yeah, I get it. It’s also overkill for me, I don’t ride it hard enough to justify having that much travel. But it’s cool to have a bike that can be used to just ride some small trails, and then be able to go to a downhill park and rip through tech quite easily. I was originally looking at the meta, but decided to go with the clash after someone suggested it over the meta. It was cheaper, and to me it looked pretty cool, so that’s the choice I made. The newer meta TR also looks pretty sick with more travel.
@@DanielB4life I agree with you! I bike almost every day but the parks near me require a lot of climbing, which I dont mind on the remedy 7 trail bike I'm using. Have you done much climbing with your clash? And Commencal seems to be good value for what you get. Thanks for the reply.
The Hook I’ve actually done quite a lot of climbing, and this bike is seems to be a lot better than my previous remedy. That’s probably down to the drive train. I had an 11 speed 11-42 tooth cassette, but since mine came with the SX eagle, it was a lot better. I looked at the new clash and it comes with a 1x10 Deore drive train. Never tried it so I don’t know how that one will be. And yeah, it is a really good value for what you’re getting, with a $200 dropper post, my bike came out to be a little over $2,600. And that bike will certainly last me years and years to come.
Does it feel like overkill on smaller stuff?
Mark Twomey uh, maybe a little. But I like this bike a lot, and it feels fine now that I’m used to it.
@@DanielB4life Thanks. Being trying to decide on this bike for a while but thinking maybe I'd have a better time with a different option. I do love that bike though!
Y do you need 180mm if travel for thst
Ryan Asefi what?
Great vid Daniel..I'm very interested in purchasing one of these myself,im curious about the colour though...Looks white in some of the vid..Then a darker colour in the outdoor vid next to the van...It says chalk grey on their website
Robbie Kelly it looks darker because it was recorded with a different camera. In real life, it is a light grey. It has a matte finish to it, so that it probably the cause. I’ve had it for over a month now, and I can say that I love this bike. Climbs decently well for what it is, and does even better on the down hill. I do, however, very much recommend a dropper post.
@@DanielB4life Thanks for the reply Daniel, yeah it looks great and thinking this is definately the bike i'll go for...I had a downhill bike before,so this should suit me fine with the added bonus of being able to climb,i'll purchase a dropper post for it...As i said great vids, looking forward to seeing more vids of the clash in in the near future..Keep it up👍👍
Why did you bought this bike ? Isn’t your giant reign quite similar ? But it looks like a hell of bike 🤘
Pieter Konings well, the Giant isn’t mine lol
DanielB4life uh but you ride it all the time in your videos ?
Pieter Konings uh, no I don’t...
Price????
cool bike bro. too bad u grow too fast to enjoy it . y already need an XL. watch out for cars dogg
The brakes where already bleeded, weren't they?
Yeah.
what size is bro?
paugnzZz large
maybe you can do a long term tyre review. cus it's not a well known, and most reviewed tyre brand.
I've had them for about 3 months now on my hardtail.
Same tires and same rims as on this bike, they've been fine.
Grip's pretty good, they don't last all that long cause I already feel like replacing them, but I do ride every single day.
They had been tubeless from the start with stan's sealant, have burped a few times when I was running 18 or so psi and hitting hips.
Stoked🤙
Is this a free ride / enduro bike
Cxllum Da God yeah, more enduro I’d say.
Thanks
What's was wrong with ur old bike. Also move the dropper and tires to the new bike. I would personally always choose Yt over any other consumer to direct even though there out of stock the 2020 bike are coming soon. Still sick bike btw love the white and red
LegitMTBer the shock is stripped, so I’d have to buy a new shock, and the bike as a whole is a little small. I would take off the dropper, but I’m giving the bike to my uncle as a Christmas present.
DanielB4life your uncle in your edits looks very funny 😀
The tires are good an the dropper doesn’t fit
Gabe Itch how would it not fit?
Yt’s are trash, don’t waste your money
"Vote for Pedro".
7:57 pointless to put them on, they the wheel rectors will snap off, and others will snap in a crash, making them sharp, unless these are unusually strong.I am speaking from experience.
I give the wheel reflectors few days to weeks before they fall off. just cus of the shaking it will get from riding the bike hard.
Johannes Nilsen I was just kidding, but yeah...
@@DanielB4life I know, and of course agreed, but wanted to add reasons why not to. it makes the analytics betters anyway, more comments the better., as long as it's not spam.
I have a 2020 Polygon Siskiu D7
I've had my eye set on the D7 for months now. I'm happy to see bikes online offers financing now. How do you like the bike?
@@macaulayculkin5022 Unforctunatly, My local bike shop, Is out of stock, So i have to wait 10 days for it, (I ordered it on the 26th of december), Looking foward to testing it on Downhill tracks around new zealand, It was a cheap price to.
@@jamiesonfilmz3994 I'm sure you will love it. You just can't beat the performance per dollar. It also has tons of great reviews backing it. It'll be worth the wait.
@@macaulayculkin5022 Yeah.
Yo bro, how tall are you, I know you got large and I’m not sure what size to get, I’m 6.3
spen I’m 5’11. For 6’3 I’d definitely recommend an XL
How rich are you?
GARY The bong lord 😂
expensive bike does not mean rich owner. just means he or she had enough money to get this bike and not be broke. I am by far no means rich, but my bike is expensive. no where near cheap. I don't pay for TV licence, Don't have a car, don't pay road tax, don't have expensive furniture, most of my clothing that is not riding clothing is from thrift stores and charity stores. So I saved a lot on that. but still poor.
but mine is built of parts I had from one of my old bikes, and parts i got for great deals second hand, and new. plus few i bought new with no price reduction.
my new bike is a Nicolai/Geometron G1 Large, built by me, but I went for coil setup, cus I got tired of changing pressures every time after evry time I was out in the winter fore few mins, I had to change pressure, then i might need to change it again during the ride.
sometimes ppl think they can't afford butt actually they can, sometimes calculating what you need is a good idea.
this number will of course vary from person not person, some need to have more money in the account for different reasons, some don't need as much, some spend more for different reasons, and so on. also if you got steady income, you can calculate how much money you will have in curtain time, and then know if you can buy what new bike or what ever else, now and still have enough at later point. which is what I did. I am not gonna buy a new bike, in many years maybe a decade, but I will upgrade hubs or wheels some day, to get better engagement, but not now, the rest is pretty great.
Johannes Nilsen same here, we don’t pay for TV, rarely go out to eat, and just save money through out the year. Usually we spend that money on a vacation, but this year we decided to put it towards a bike instead. The main way we save money is by not buying coffee, like Starbucks. If you buy a $5 cup everyday for a year, that is $1,825, but people rarely buy 1 per day, or just the 5 dollar cup.
@@DanielB4life no Coffey for me, cus I hate the taste and smell. no idea what it costs. but sure it will not be cheap in places like that. but I see some grocery shops sell Starbucks branded cooled stuff, maybe it's Coffey or cacao drink I don't know.
You should use a torque wrench...... you could snap bolts and trust me it’s not fun. I’m cringing at this video as a pro bike mechanic😂😂😂
He’s got such a beautiful bike but he can’t really ride. I don’t mean that he doesn’t deserve it just triggers me cause I’ve got a 399$ hardtail and go to bike parks with it and wish I had a bike like that😂😕🤘
Three Riders ok?
Ok😂🤙🤘
8:36 when camera changes the colour of the bike scene 1 scene 2 9:44 of course some colour correction can fix this. but not super important, at least not for this video.
Johannes Nilsen You need your face color corrected too? No, well then just enjoy things for what they are
@@AlexB-vl9hm might be trickier when it's painted.😃 I was not criticising. just made the point that it could be corrected, and that cameras can make big differences even moving it few mm can make drastic changes, also camera to other camera.
@@AlexB-vl9hm The garage shot looked great, so did the other shots, no clue if it's as it was as in real life but looked realistic. also well shot.👌
Johannes Nilsen the garage shot was on a $2,000 DSLR, while the riding footage was on an IPhone XS Max. I boosted the saturation on the iPhone footage because it looked a little bland. The reason it looks different is probably because the iPhone exposure was increased when my dad was recording at 9:44, the increased light made the color look different.
@@DanielB4life to correct it, you might adjust tint, in this case to minus, cus it's too warm, gamma, offset, and other stuff, it can vary, I got gopro session so it goes crazy and I have to adjust many frames use key frames and adjust few seconds of footage, different way different directions on colour circles. But new cameras are not as bad with this. The camera and even the phone actually create good footage. I am just gave some advice, and now some more spesific advice. 👍Of course which adjustments and how much will vary, it can take awhile to learn to notice which you need while going trough the footage. But I do it alot so I got pretty good eye for it now, but of course fine adjustment is needed afterwards. For making it brighter turning up exposure, and shad, might help, but high L i use DaVinci Resolve so I use terms used in this software. It's free software, there is paid full version, but nobody needs it,te free version has more features than many paid software.
You should get a hardtail
GARY The bong lord omfg buddy, I don’t want a hardtail, hop off
DanielB4life peseant
GARY The bong lord 😧
DanielB4life jk you’re doing really good and improving very fast keep it up. 👍🤘
GARY The bong lord thanks dude 👌🏿
Can I have a bike like that??
Midnightninja X yeah
mucha bici para tan poco rider perro
LOL he's such a troll hahahahaha
I guess you shouldn't thank Santa for this bike only to your parents, I'm curious if any item you show in your movies you bought with your own money, wait a minute, you don't have your own money because you are too young to work. Maybe when you test things bought with your own money, not only your friends and teenagers like you will be watching you, whose parents buy everything they want. As for your instructional videos, you still have to learn a lot, although I am impressed that at such a young age you can already bleed the brakes. Remember that you don't have to brag about everything on CZcams, because you just told thieves in your neighborhood that they have something to look for in your house
Lmaooo, I was just kidding about thanking Santa... my dad was the one who said to do it for the video. Most of the small things that I show I save up my own money and pay my parents. All of my computer parts, I paid for. My parents did buy my bike, and I am very grateful. My plan before corona was to find a job and pay them off for it eventually. And if, as you say “told thieves in your neighborhood that they have something to look for” they can get the reward of a .40 cal 🥳
That Alex bloke was bloody annoying
Get rid of that annoying guy.
Absolutely not!
