The Cher Show "Original Finale"

  • Where can one even begin with all the changes The Cher Show went through from Chicago to Broadway. Before the epic mega-mix was implemented as the shows finale on Broadway, Chicago was treated to a much more heartwarming and all be it odd closure to Cher's new musical. After a beautiful Ballad version (which ended up being cut) of Believe we were then given a performance of I Hope You Find It and Take Me Home as the show's grand finale. Believe was only tacked on after the curtain call. While this finale does have its charm it is very clear that it wasn't the big ending the show needed.

Take Me Home is my favorite song by Cher, I’m so glad I got to see this and experience it live as the bows following the current production on tour. Bravo to the minds behind the script!

Ikr! The actors all talked about how pretty much the entire show changed from the out of town try-out to Broadway lol

Believe it was 80% of the show that changed - I may be wrong but it’s close to that

I much prefer the mega mix finale! I wish the UK tour had the same dialogue section tho, more emotional

I'm glad we have this, thank you for posting it (but the word is "albeit"...weird, right? In your description above it should be all one word : "...heart warming and albeit odd closure to Cher's new musical." You used the definition of the word right (although you don't need the "and", just say "heart warming, albeit odd, closure to Cher's new musical."), you just didn't know it is all one word. We learn something new every day! At least, we should, that's what keeps our brains strong. Anyway, not being critical just want to help you and again, thanks for posting this.

I kind of like it, but it starts depressing and doesn't get as enthusiastic as the new finale.
