I requested Creality to send me this engraver as well as a few others So that I can test them one by one to find out for you which machine is the best.
In this video, I put the Falcon 2 Laser engraver through many tests to see if its speed, accuracy, power, and durability are as good as they should be.
And the results were Very very impressive.

OMG, I love the map of Stockport, where I live, in Reddish!! I've just bought the 40w version of this machine for my business and would love to create that. Was it done by scanning ordinance maps to produce the vector file or something? Are you local to the Stockport area?

I just learned about this. I haven't tested it yet so do some independent research. There are a lot of more in depth tutorials on how to do it but I'll abridge it- spray paint works best in order to get an even coating (important so the laser burns away the right amount of material). Anyway, it takes planning ahead and you can probably learn the concept using just about any backing material as a medium (wood/stone/metal/etc.). First spray the back color, let it dry, then repeat as many times as you have layers with as many different colors as you like- to learn I'll be starting with just 2 colors and moving up as I learn. Once the paint is dry you'll next need to experiment a bit so that you know just the right settings to burn away a single layer of paint- a custom Lightburn Material test should give you the right settings. That's pretty much it- it's a simple concept but with planning ahead/layering/dialing in the perfect settings it can get very complicated. I hope that helps, and if it doesn't there are many good Tutorials here on YT that will explain it much better than this simple bit of text can. I personally look forward to messing with this idea a bit- I look forward to anything laser related though, even the troubleshooting! Goodluck with your projects, it's kind of amazing what you can do with these things- even the low powered machines!
