i'm by no means a man of god, or a christian. but Skillet are one of the awesomest christian people i've seen. (For Hellsing fans out here, Alexander Anderson levels of epic!)
It is not SKILLET THAT MADE SKILLET IT IS JESUS CHRIST THAT PUT THEM WHERE THEY ARE. See it is awesome that you love these guy's and trust me I was once where you are LOVING THESE GUYS FROM A FAR, but I was tired of just lising to music and started listing to the words and that is when I prayed the sinners prayer I was in the darkest place in my life before I even heard of these guy's I was in prison watching yrs of my life going by and really nothing to live for, until I gave my heart to Christ and He took over and someone from outside the prison gave me this cd and I was hooked for the right reasons. I will pray for all the young&old people that listen to Skillet or any other groups and just don't no how to get to Jesus. I just want to share with you nothing more and no judging just sharing the love of JESUS with you. Sure, but the people telling him that he'd be more popular if he didn't go on about it have a point. I like listening to skillet gigs, they are a great band, but (note to self) remember to only watch ones that aren't xtian festivals, because then I don't get a load of religious bollocks spoiling the gig.

Okay. So for those of you that are interested, Skillet uses an amazing device known as a click track or what might be a more familiar term, a backing track. Korey Cooper (the keyboardist) runs each track for each song from her Mac on stage. Now, what plays on a click track, is all of the instruments and effects that they used when they recorded that song and a metronome click (that only the band can hear because it is playing in their in ear monitors). So what that means for the band, is John Cooper (the bass player) does not HAVE to play bass for every song because its all ready recorded. :D A very handy trick for those in the professional music business however it is very expensive to do correctly.

I had noticed that in most of their concerts, the music and what they were actually doing on stage didn't match. Thanks for that information. I know they are not actually "playing" on stage cause I could see it. I play piano & some guitar. I still LOVE their music!!! Chances of seeing them live are nill to next to none, anyway... I live in the mountains. But, it makes perfect sense to me. They seem to be able to pull it off quite well!!
I'm not entirely sure what they do for their live performances 100%, I do have an inkling that there is a backing track, but john and jen's vocals and her drumming are definitely live over the top of the track atleast. Their vibe and energy is what hits their live performances out of the park, you just can't beat it :D They're coming out to Australia for the first time in 7 years next month, I can not wait to see them :D

I'm still a work in progress but definitely alot closer to my faith than in years past!!!! i was too afraid or weak to acknowledge it before. never will that happen again. so much more at peace walking in faith than without it.Thank you lord for your GRACE!!!

I saw that tour when it came to Illinois. Went for Shinedown and Papa Roach, left a fan of Skillet. Been addicted since.
Just saw them in Milwaukee at Summerfest music fest..it was the third time I've saw them and I try to see them when ever they are in my area..it's a must see concert.
I'm 57 and I like Skillet. The message of the Gospel can take various forms. Jesus said "If we are not for Him, we are against Him", I'm one of the ones for HIM.

amazing! It was fairly short, cuz there were like 10 bands, but they made their time worh waiting for! They were the last band, and when they entered, the whole arena shook from their music! It was awesome!
I got to see them last week. It was one of the Best concerts that I have ever seen. I hope someone puts up the video from Creation Festival 2013 because I think our crowd was much more crazy.

This show is very similar to the program they played at Lifest. Just add smoke, fire, moving platforms, and fireworks (yes, fireworks!), and it's almost like relieving their concert last night. Skillet is a fantastic band, and they are even more fantastic live. Plus their music delivers the powerful message of Christ! Rock on, Skillet!
Just saw them at Alive Fest in Ohio last night they released the album 3 days before U.S release. Also got to meet and greet with the band. They took a picture with my wife and I and our one month old baby girl.

I finally got to see Skillet and they SHREDDED the stage. I drove (244 mi) and took 4 hours to get there! it was worth every mile and Min!!! But they need to come more to the West more like Idaho near Boise so other people can see them and how good they really are! I can't wait 4 the next 2014 Cd

I love this band and adore this band so much!!! This video is so great and I love the the quailty. I almost got to see this band live I went last year to the winter tour concert and sometimes they bring this band. I am hoping skillet will be there this year great job on the video!
