You guys should call any special pieces like this that you make Wyrmwood Artifacts, since they're unique and powerful
Davrial aka Blue Mario seriously though that would be awesome.
Here here
laura bailey's Dice Jail
@@SPACEHARICE A true artifact for the agea
This guy is on to something 👌
Wyrmwood "we want it to look good on camera"
Laura "ohh is that a new screen for the show?"
Matt "No this one's going home with me"
I would think something so powerful would need to be forged in the fires of mount doom, but this works too.
Or at the very least sapient pearwood.
We live in a day and age where creating a Dungeon Master screen for a nerdy-ass voice actor warrants an artisanal video. Never stop being awesome, Wyrmwood!
*Looking at this*
Me: "I use Detect Magic!"
DM: "You are blinded and stunned!"
Blood was literally shed to make that screen.. somehow that seems appropriate :) Lovely work :)
That's been about half my projects, but I'm nowhere near their level.
no hamdmade item is complete without bloodshed...one must appease the creation gods with a blood sacrifice
A blood sacrifice must be made for Mercer to infuse an item with his power.
Is there a reason none of them are wearing gloves though? Might prevent some of that blood.
@@Attilladehun You need the dexterity to manipulate stuff safely sometimes and gloves just impair that ability actually making some tasks less safe
... That moment of oil varnish soaking in and wood grain emerging like some kind of runic sigil is the IRL equivalent of watching an arcane enchanter at their craft, M8. >):^D
Masterwork DM Screen
Toryu Mau I know what you mean, I’m still trying to find the perfect sealer for my wood crafts, so far Lindt seed oil is the best I’ve got, but I’ll get here eventually
Andrew Man111 you know not the true meaning of that question
What they left out of the video with Matt is the cast (I think Sam) saying "Oh, so that is just for tonight" and Matt saying "NO, this is staying with me forever!" with the conviction of a man that wants it to be buried with him.
Aww yeah! I was like "I'm pretty sure they made more of a fuss over it..." :D
Oh wow, the HDYWTDT is actually made of crushed Jet? That's rad as hell, I thought it looked neat but I wouldnt have guessed it was made from gemstone.
Jet isnt exactly a precious stone. Its coal. Actually its what coal is before its "coal enough" to be burned
@@TheTacCom Jet is a type of lignite, a precursor to coal, and is a gemstone
Not all gemstones are precious. Still, its cool to know that it is a gemstone
I kind of hate how the jet darkened that panel though :(
@@evalynn1863 That’s what they said.
This is totally mesmerizing.
I've just had a bittersweet realization. One day this screen, and that table, and maybe even a few of their dice sets will be in a museum. Maybe long after we fans are gone.
Wow. Thank you.
No, it'll be because the fans aint gone.
In a museum ? Are you stupid ?
@@RomGomLP why yes ....yes I am.... Sir dr. Professor stupid the III arch duke of the comback , leader of fools , breaker of shitty comments , caller of bullshit, rump mister ,and wizard of waste and your time
My players gifted me a Black Walnut Wyrmwood Dice tray tonight for our 50th campaign session! Quality work from passionate craftsmen, Matt (and myself) are very lucky DMs!
Hey, congrats on the 50 sessions!
....oh, so THATS why its so expensive. Damn, that's craftsmanship. Bravo!
How much did it cost?
FallenB1ade I haven’t purchased anything from Wyrmwood but you can look at their website to gather a price range.
@@KetchupRocket I've seen things on their website, and I've recently been watching some Wyrmlife (which is how I got here) - but your comment sounded like you knew the cost of this DM Screen vs the general pricing of their products
FallenB1ade nope, I was just making a comment about the high cost because every time I go to their page I’m sticker shocked, but my comment was implying “ah, now I see why.”
@@KetchupRocket Makes sense - their game table on Kickstarter looks really well priced though (sure, not as many fancy fits, etc, but the same designer, CEO and QC team)
Ladies and gentlemen: The only time we will ever get to see behind matt's dm screen. Take it in!
When he first snapped the boards together, literal chills followed by a welling up from my eyes. I never knew I could be moved by such a thing!!! Truest MASTERS of the craft. Well done gentlemen!!!
That is when you know, someone has created art. Art moves the soul.
It's like watching a legendary weapon being made for a hero worth to wield it. Like Thor's Hammer... or King Arthur's Excaliber.
A joy and a pleasure to see a Master working their craft
Your logo certainly fits right in with master-quality D&D gear. A perfect seal for a team of master craftsmen. Fine work on the +4 Screen of Concealment.
So I've never checked out any of your products, just thought you were a big corporate company with sky high prices. Thanks to this video, the down to earth guy on the video, and CR. I will be buying all my products from WW. I will also be advocating WW CZcams channel, products, and supplies at all the games stores, coffee shops, and individual people in southwest Missouri. Just seems like a family based business who provides quality. #newfan #newcustomer #believer
100% loved this. Woodwork is such an undervalued skill. Plus to see the whole process end to end is fantastic. Great work team!
I don't know a single person that undervalues woodworking. Lol
@@brothaman4578 then you know good people. Unfortunately it's a skill that schools are moving away from becuase of the incumbent digital take over.
@@Greg1756 we did quite a lot of woodwork in school. From making toys to statues, I love it to death, it's awesome.
Wow, things like that just can't be mass produced. The care and detail going into this screen is immaculate! I often watch videos of folks making things out of metal and wood but never has the result been so rewarding and awesome!
I keep throwing money at the screen but nothing is happening. Please send help.
I guess the DC is too high.
My guess the price. 🤣 Keep throwing.
Read the internet's FAQ.
I think my favorite part of every one of these craftsman videos is when the varnish gets put on the wood and it gets darker and shiny and just a beautiful finalized piece.
Getting to see the build all the way through is so cool. It came out so beautiful!
Incredible craftsmanship! The cost in materials and hours of work on this item has to have been huge. I don't even DM and I want one of these new screens!
Every time this pops up in my YT Recommendations, I rewatch it. And every time I sit in awe of Jason's work on that magnificent piece of woodworking.
I may have teared up a bit when you finished it. Stunning work!
good lord if anybody asks me what a master craftsman can do im showing them this video 3 times in a row. Holy hell that is beyond epic.
Wow, I'm in awe at the level of detail and care that went into this! Absolutely amazing work!
This video gave us a glimpse of the back of the dm screen, I may die happy now
Haha same!!
Just came here from CR producer Max's twitter. Even this video is artisan-level craft. God damn!
And those brown oak veneers... positively gushing over here. Now I'm day dreaming about a bass guitar from those woods - dark wenge body and neck, brown oak fingerboard as contrast... Not sure practical that is, sure wood look tight though.
With a routed burl top, nickel frets and hardward, and crushed jet inlays
"Wood". Ha. I get it.
Leave practical to the engineers. When using art to make an instrument to make more art...leave your practical at the door, thanks.
The workmanship is awe inspiring. So beautiful. Love your products Wyrmwood!
I am honest to god drooling over this. You guys put a lot of time into your work and it shows! Beautiful
Wow you guys are insane. So much detailed work.
You can really see how much love, blood, sweat and tears did go into that DM Screen.
My deep Respect!
This is a very very well made video. The editing, the shots, the audio. Just a pleasure to watch. Thanks for making this.
I cannot say enough good things, about the quality and attention to detail that went into this. I am awe struck. You guys are amazing.
This is the type of screen I was hoping to see coming out.
You and everyone else. Possibly less detailed, but this level of attention, craftsmanship and quality. Shame about the breadboards and scaffolding poles.
It's always amazing to see someone who truly loves their work. The folks at Wyrmwood should take pride in their exceptional talents.
Wow this was just so amazing!!!! Watching this from start to finish. You put so much heart and compassion in to this screen, Well done Jason from Wyrmwood
Can we just talk about the amazing sound design in the video? So satisfying.
Matt was so excited to use the new DM Screen. What an awsome and fine craftsmanship you people made. Always fascinates me how amazing you are.
This is so intricate and beautiful. Exquisite handiwork and attention to detail. Love the work you're doing!
I remember first seeing this screen and thinking it was nice of course but seeing the craftsmanship of it stopped me in my tracks. Beautiful work.
All i can say is bloody fantastic, I loved seeing the screen when watching the live show and now getting to watch it be made is awesome, I can't stop talking about your products to everyone I know that plays D&D!
Love love love! I was literally asking you guys to do more of this type of content the other week!
There is something intangibly but deeply satisfying about a craft like this...thank you for sharing! Impressive craftsmanship!!!! Such precision!
It's not a project until you bleed on it! Great job, I love watching how you guys work, what a cool and rewarding business you guys have, supplying gamers with items that aren't just functional, but also beautiful treasures they can be proud of. Nothing is better than making something you know will be loved and appreciated forever.
I just love listening to the random sounds of woodworking. It's really relaxing.
Woodworking videos with fine detail work are always so satisfying to watch. Awesome job.
Thank you so much for showing your process of making this for Matt, also i think gives people more of an understanding of why things cost the way they do. And that it is totally worth it. Hopefully in the future I can order something.
Wow...Speechless! That Master Craftsmanship! Well done and excited to see him use it! =D
I keep coming back to videos like this just to watch how you work. In a way it's very relaxing.
I honestly didn't think I'd like this type of video but I couldn't keep my eyes off of the screen while watching this. The way you filmed this video made it so I didn't even want to blink in fear of losing the detail. The finished product and video production looks absolutely amazing! You've got yourself a new subscriber!
i've never been one for veneers, but you guys might just change my mind on that. because hot damn, ain't no way to get that kind of detail otherwise. Everything about that screen is gorgeous.
(POV you’re watching this after the new wrymwood episode to see how they could make the new GM screens)
Absolutely stellar, I nearly applauded IRL hahaha. Can't wait for the next time you guys start producing these again!
GOOOD! THE MASTERPIECE...Jason you beautiful man! muaaa. This is...speechless!
Absolutely beautiful work, Jason. Thanks so much for letting us in on the creation.
the level of artistry and design in this shit is amazing. So much care and thought is put into every aspect and the end result is amazing. you guys are seriously talented, and keep up the good work
this is honestly one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever seen
When the DM screen is on the next level.
Absolutely awesome; massive kudos.
The skill, the knowledge, the workshop.... even your outfit is like absolute masterpiece.
I salute U, good sir. Wonderful job!
The dynamics of the different materials and textures are intriguing. Well done.
Gorgeous! Thanks for making this pretty eye candy. I love how it came out!
Magnificent work! All theese wood textures and colors. Absolutely love it! Subbed! Thanks for video)
Wow. I’ve always known your products were gorgeous and well made, but after this video, I may need to actually save up for one. Gorgeous, and brilliant craftsmanship.
The insane level of craftsmanship gives me the chills - amazing work!
The amount of work that goes into this is just amazing!
Showing us the content we truly want.
Thanks this is sooo well done it’s amazing
My god man !!! simply beautiful . To think thats something that can be passed done for ages . Well done \,,/
Excellent video! The generosity of what was shared of the work is a gift!
Wow this is incredible work! I love videos like this of the whole process. It's so soothing and the end result is phenomenal :D
Wtf, I teared up looking at the finished product. How did it compel that reaction from me? That was beautifully done and such an awesome work of art. It is Overwhelming just comprehending this process and appreciating how much you all care about your quality and work. Hats off to you. I come from a long line of master carpenters and instead of following the family trade, I enlisted in the military right after 9/11. I spend my days now admiring and appreciating my dad and grandfather in their workshop at his home. Thanks for sharing this.
Man I love the dedication that you guys put on your work, it really is amazing! Keep up the good work!
Holy crap, you guys definitely need more content like this on the channel. This is the sort of thing I came looking for when I heard there was a Wyrmwood channel and was initially pretty disappointed.
we do love it, thank you for showing the work and commitment in making this awesome peace, you inspire us to make and be awesome
God dame that is some fine craftsmenship. Good work.
Wow, this was absolutely stunning to watch. Jason really is such a Master at what he does. Everything came together so beautifully and I really love this design for DM screens. The aluminum Wyrmwood logo was beautiful against that dark wood.
Now that is truly fine craftsmanship! Well Done!
i am really glad that the youtube algorithm suggested me this video. awesome work you guys
High End Making + D&D... this is everything. Thank you for putting this video out... it made me so stupidly happy.
this was so awesome to watch. i’d love to see the process behind all your amazing projects ❤️❤️❤️
This DM screen looks absolutely awesome! Great work!
A beautiful piece of art, and functional too. I am awestruck!
You know it's a master working when it looks this easy and effortless.
That is some absolutely amazing, quality work right there! Great job!
Thats a thing of beauty. Quality craftmanship that will stand the test of time. 500 years from now future DM's could be using that.
I've watched this video several times, and wish I could continue giving likes. The craftsmanship and precision is amazing. Makes me want to take up woodworking
You guys always do some amazing stuff, loving the "behind the scenes" look too
seeing a true master of his craft is always a pleasure, this is a work of art, dare i say perfection
I have never played DnD in my life, let alone been a DM, but I want one of these anyway! Beautiful!!
now this is one beautiful DM screen that any Dungeon Master would love
Brilliant job as always wyrmwood
I am reminded why I enjoyed taking woodshop classes back in college. The craft is so beautiful. :)
Also the ending of this gave me goosebumps seeing it completely done!!
beautiful craftsmanship. You all are at the top of your game.
Amazing bit of skill involved in making that, true piece of art!
In total I've watched this about 5 times. It's amazing artistry and I'm more than a little envious!
its obvious that you put just as much time and effort into crafting this video as you did with the end product! very well done!
What a thing of beauty. Phenomenal job & quality.
Beautiful piece. Outstanding work. I have no better way of describing it.
