It's no slump. It's the second fastest time he's ever run😂
Don’t forget who got gold in the 1500m😂😂
@@vroy6 What would make you think I forgot? All I'm saying is that nobody is gonna PR every race
He won when it mattered. Olympic champion, no one can ever take that away from him.
True. An Olympic gold is the crown jewel 😂
@@Corfecastle He could literally lose every single race for the rest of his life and it won’t take that gold away from him
@@NamiseSports I totally agree. 👍
@@NamiseSports A race that made me very suspisious. (3 sec pb into an olympic season)
@@jkdure Huffing your own farts doesn't make your suspicion legit.
Sub 3:30 again tho can’t be too upset with that
@@jeff09_ it was a good loss for Hocker , he had Jacob as his pacesetter for the whole race then Jacob out kicked him by 2 seconds in the last 150 meters
Off cycle.
Cole is a top 3 runner in the 1500m. On any given day Kerr, Jakob or Cole can win
Can’t sleep on Nuguse always challenging those 3.
@@Blakebell471was coming here to say this.
@@piffpete420 Jacob has lost to Kerr three times and to Shocker once and Yaed once and has beaten them at least 25 times total
@@ZATHURAKEY World Championships and Olympic titles matter most than these barely watched events with pacers and wavelights.
@@misterinvincible yes and Jacob has 2 Olympic Golds and 2 WC Golds . 2 more golds than Kerr , 3 more than Shocker and 4 more than Yared .
Cole is a very classy guy. He’s humble and speaks the truth. Really respect him as an athlete and person.
No it sounds like he is makes excuses. He could if just Jacob was better
@@bobdown5520 He's got nothing to make 'excuses' for. Acknowledging his feelings post olympics was refreshing and inspiring.
@@bobdown5520 Most Olympic champs shut it down after the Olympics because off the whirlwind schedule and the lack of recovery. This one of the reasons Jacob thanked him for showing up after the race.
I don’t get why people rip on Jakob for his finishes in championships the last few years. Sure, that’s the event that matters, but you literally have 3 of those races every 4 years (outdoors). Dude is pushing so many greats down the all time chart. He will break the WR, it’s not if, it’s when. I predict in Zurich.
Jakob doesn't have the speed to go 3:25.XX. He isn't better than El Guerrouj.
Neither did Hicham lol
its definitely not when, its if, im not saying he wont do it but theres no guarantee he will
@@malehumanperson7901
Dude he is 23 years old
@@talulahwilliams2754 And he has been training like a pro from about 12 years old. He doesn't have the top speed for it. He might well get the 3k record before the season is out though.
Cole Hocker is awesome. I will buy any product he promotes. I support the love and kindness that he shows to everybody.
You can tell Jakob like Cole. He such a good dude. Gotta love Cole.
Ingibritsen wins 9 of 10 times against Hocker. But Hocker won when it counted.
@Imslightlyobnoxious
I do not know about nine out of ten certainly unlikely if there are no rabbits pacing in front. Will be fun to see how it goes.
30 years from now you think his grandkids are going to be asking "why did you lose to Jakob in Lausanne"; hell no, they're going to be like "my grandpa is an Olympic gold medalist"!
Always finna root for bro
Good run, Cole! I figured it would not be easy following the post Olympic rat-race stuff. Good solid effort though against some of the best!!!!👍
The difference between Jakob and everyone else is that he's a 3:30 guy on his bad days. He's kicking himself when he runs 3:30, everyone else is happy.
Well said, Cole. You're a sportsman.
@@swerne01 the lion roared when pushed to the limit..in unorthodox fashion de accelerated accelerated inside lane NASCAR running come on did he have a hidden force behind him... DESTINY in the making ..
Jacob is his own man. I personally think he’s fab. Sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses. That’s sport.
Time for a haircut
.0001 seconds faster or do you have a rash in a sensitive area?
His hair is not an issue. Otherwise everyone would have speed hair cuts😅
What?
These races with rabbits who will set the pace and break the wind for 3 laps are very different than the Olympics.
Having paced runs is one thing BUT he won where it mattered most in a tactical man v man race in the Olympics. Pace makers should never be allowed or the lights giving you the perfect pace.
Yesterday you told us that Jakob will be beaten by you again today😂😂😂
@@royjohansen6729 2 seconds = 2 classes of difference between the GOAT and Hocker …
@@giorgiocanaliwithlove1919 goats dont trash talk the whole season and say they can win in their sleep then finish off the podium, sorry to tell you
@@giorgiocanaliwithlove1919 Gold > random race 🥱
@@Someone-hi1nt yeah, but he won the 5k, Tokoyo 1500, and numerous other world champs. The goat also holds the 1500 indoor, 2k and 2 mile WR's, 3rd fastest time 1mil (by 0.60sec) and 4th fastest 1500 by (.70).
what is he supposed to say- "oh I'm going to lose" for sure!" lol no.
Runners, male and female are fun to watch. May you all know the joy of running.
Mental isn't a noun.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen made an error in leading the pack from the beginning. As a leader he will exert great pressure on him to maintain the lead. He should have stayed around 2nd or 3rd position.
Jakob can have all the Diamond League wins, just give the Olympic golds to Cole 🥇
@@trainwellracewell Ingebrigtsen didn't leave Paris empty-handed. I admire runners who compete in multiple distances, like Jakob and Kessler.
@@mikephalen3162 Very true! He’s a phenomenal talent. I’m just happy Cole was able to swoop in and steal the show in Paris
Good race, you are now a confirmation.
Someone get him a towel!!!
I like Cole, but let’s be honest regarding meetings are 1-2 steps behind Jakob
No surprised with a Pacer Jacob will win
The others have the same pacer
@@shabbychicken8635 no sh!t, point is ingebrigsten is awful in non-paced races while others arent nearly as bad, but with pacers jakob is much better while others dont get as much of a boost
lol, Jacob wasn't near the pacers for the first two laps as they were running too fast so, as usual Jacob paced the next set of runners and then kicked ( out-kicked entire field ) away at the end of the race to Win easily by 2 seconds
@@shabbychicken8635all the Jacob haters make excuses as to why there favorite runner looses to Jacob but quess what Jacob beats them all 98 percent of the time championship or non-championship races . Jacob shows up every time
@@Someone-hi1nt3:28 solo up front, pacing everyone else was awful? 😂
I don't get why these short distance athletes don't invest more into aerodynamics. Actually just having shorter hair might get him some milliseconds.
Hicham 3:26.00 is 26 Years old!🔥🔥🔥
DONT see JAKOB improving 1.0 second in his best.
Hicham was amazing, no doubt about it…..but Jakob only needs to improve by 0.74 seconds on his pb to get the world record.
Hicham didn’t have the benefit of modern day spikes and pacer lights.
I think Jakob will probably beat Hicham’s record with an even paced run throughout though that doesn’t diminish how great El G was…….El G could have probably gone faster with today’s technology.
@djc0108 Only 0.74...
Jakob has far better conditions: FASTER TRACKS + SHOES, electric pacing lights...better training facilities...
That 3/4 second is a lot at this level.
@@Thoth19It is a lot, but I feel he can do it with the right conditions……doubtful this year, but I suspect he’ll get it within a few years.
Time will tell.
@@djc0108 He's 24 now.
All mens WR holders up to 10,000m were 23, 24yo!
@@Thoth19I think he’ll buck the trend. What’s gone before is a good predictor, but there’s always exceptional cases that come along in life. Steve Ovett broke the 1500m world record aged 28 years.
Let’s see how things unfold, not saying i’m right, nobody knows the future with all certainty.
I wonder if he could run faster if he shaved his majestic mane
Why is Jakob so good when there’s a pacer?
Jakib is the best runner in the world from 1500 to 5k. Hocker and Kerr could never run that fast if Jakob didn't frontrun the whole race at the Olympics.
Because he’s the fastest so the others can use him as a pacer but he has no one who’s fast enough. Having paid pacers makes it fair. The fastest man has a chance to maximise his potential instead of being held back from lack of competition.
Mate if it was me I wouldn’t give a stuff after winning gold
he have to get a haircut
New dope protocol 😂🎉
1 hit wonder 🎉
Have you won any races recently?
@@johnwalker4642 yup
Is he vegan?
he will never beat jakob in a time attack, only guy who could beat jakob is kerr if he sits on jakobs rear till 100m maybe. Cole hocker is not on the same level.
He was when the gold medal was on the line 3 weeks ago.
@@jasonperlmutter4402 jakob broke the wind for 90% of the race, my point is , jakob is a horrible strategist, but he is by far fitter than cole hocker, he will win everytime, unless he breaks the wind for the first 1400m
I agree Jakob is fitter, but if you've run track you'll know the only thing that counts is performing at your peak for championship meets: conference, state, nationals, world, etc. and in this case Olympic championship finals. Hocker got gold and that's all that really matters. A Diamond League win isn't even close to the same level as an Olympic or World championship win. Luckily Jakob got his gold in the 5k though and I would put him as the fav. in both 1500 and 5k next year. Will he win, I don't know... The next World Championships and Olympics will be hot for sure.
@@mathieusturkenboom he had to break win for the first 1400m because kerr has an elite kick compared to jakobs, so its either be ahead quite a bit going into the last stretch and have a shot at not getting outkicked or get outkicked.
@@crystalizedExposed he will never win with this strategy, hes not an asbel kiprop or a david rudisha, hes not that dominant over 1500m. In the 5000m on the other end, he might be the most dominant 5k runner ive ever witnessed
Welcome back to reality! "One time" Hocker lost like a champ.😂 🇧🇻
"One time" Hocker has one more Olympic Gold than you do!
Commenting with you elbows out, eh? Ego saturated Friday; the Joy of Running, a good book to read.
Who’s this chick?
this "chick" is an olympic record holder
@@goated_messi_ronaldo nice one.
