I am from the UK and I know what the words 'boy' and 'son' mean, both their literal definitions and their alternate meanings when used in certain contexts and I agree that Conor, being from Ireland, probably uses the terms in an amicable and/or endearing way more so even than the average Brit, but I doubt Conor was trying to be endearing in this instance, he was clearly trying to antagonise Mayweather.
