Time to get home. Insurance for health care will be canceled for all travelers out of the country. Get home while you can before you get trapped there as flights have been cancelled or suspended by the hundreds. The insurance in case you get sick is a big problem. Even if you only broke a leg or something they will not cover you. All Canadians were told to come home immediately. They are even closing the boarder to shoppers and vacationers between the US and Canada. The only ones who can get through are Canadians coming home and cargo, food etc. . Stay safe and your butt home. Love you Oh the CDC in the US also said no problem for dogs or cats. www.idexx.com/en/veterinary/reference-laboratories/coronavirus-diagnostic-update/?fbclid=IwAR3d49TDHZHYSUGEGeqj7VTu_4FjMpcQfUXCb7R3R9nOx-PGssmVJkXOQlI The vets down there are also telling everyone not to worry about it. The dog also did not get sick. Odds are, when they tested it it had droplets from the owner on it's nose. Just like if you had say Greece from meat on your hands and rubbed the dogs nose, type thing. We all have some type of coronavirus in us and so do animals. The common cold is a coronavirus among a few others. So do all the hand washing, don't touch your face and clean everything in home and car you touch. Electronics, cell phones etc can be cleaned with a damp baby wipe or cotton ball, with a very small amount of Rubbing Alcohol on it. I keep baby wipe with alcohol on them in a zip lock baggie to clean my hands etc after coming out of a store and they are great for cleaning anything in my car. I even clean my keys with it. My wallet etc. Anything I touch. Great invention. On a plane that could be used to clean seats, tables etc. They are not really good at cleaning planes. Just a point of interest. Baby wipes or any kind of wipes with alcohol on them work well. They could even be used to rub down the head rests especially on seats on a plane. Just a helpful hint. I have been doing that one for over 9 years come flu and cold season. No colds and no flu so it must work. That is my long term science experiment. Have a good one.

If it even true. China isn't exactly trustworthy. I think it's an excuse for them to kill more animals than they already do. Apparently the dog simply had the virus on it from sharing the same space as its virus positive owners.i pray it doesn't mutate to infect our innocent pets. People in my city in NJ already dumping pets in street and bringing to shelters to be murdered. Please do more on this subject so I can share, and hopefully save pets lives.

I'm in Taiwan. Based on my experience pets CAN contract this from humans, including cats. I woukd suggest beta glucan 1,3 to boost their immunity. And if they show signs of illness (no appetite, less energy/letharic, a sudden and uncharacteristic adversion to pollutants like cigarette smoke) IF a family member is positive, tgen give them a liposomal curcumun, quercetin, and a bit of colloudal silver in their drinking water if you can still find a supply. Sadly, the Chinese destroyed family pets in mass numbers (maybe hundreds of thousands) due to the fear that humans could catch civid-19 from pets. I AM seeing evidence (albeit no testing confirmation) that pets are catching this from owners. I have already experimented with the protocol above and it does appear to work well and relieve symptoms and restore appetite and energy level in a couple of days. I sure hope you don't get stuck in Thailand. They deffinitely under reported their case numbers and covid-19 is escalating there now. Maybe try some back alley pharmacy to see if they have any chloroquine (phosphate), the old malaria drug. 500 mg/day x 10 days + zinc. Both the Chinese and Koreans are using that with "drammatic results" in curing patients with covid-19. I'd nab some for good measure, just it case. It should be extremely cheap there if you can find some. Best of luck. Getting crazy in the US now.

Here in India, some people have been abandoning their pet dogs because of a vague directive by a local civic body. My concern is a couple of underlying health issues with immunity being compromised last year. I feel fine now but stress does sometimes affect my reactive airways and there's the added worry about my pets' wellbeing if I had to be hospitalized. I'm trying my best to alleviate my own anxiety by taking good care of us all with nutrition, meditation, short walks plus backyard runs, laughter and play. Still... it might be a good idea to keep in touch with a couple of pet sitters for emergencies.

T M Connie Yep Stress and Anxiety is going to kill more healthy people then the Covid19 will ever kill!! People who are healthy have nothing too worry about!! It’s the low immune people the elderly80-90 years of age,the people with diabetes uncontrolled, heart disease these ar ethe people that have to be concerned over getting the Covid 19 and passing on Not Healthy people the News is blowing this all out of proportions it’s driving us Medi-Cal people crazy Everyone needs to realize 1% of US is not that many people Also if you believe in God then you know anything is curable unless it’s your time that is Peace in this!! I hope I calmed a few down with this information read CDC and stay off the TV and the Internet it’s getting so ridiculous these days!! And I’m at risk and not scared like all these healthy young people Sad 😔

According to the news, it is believed that the owner transmitted the coronavirus to the dog. The dog had been tested "weak positive" for several weeks. The dog later returned home with the owner but he died 2 days after. It's sad. I wonder if the dog had a hard time in the quarantine facility...but at least he got to say goodbye to the owner

I do supplement for my cat, she gets very good food as she is a very picky eater, she also practices social distancing except when it's meal time. I have extra everything for her, I dry canned a bunch of her dry food and laid a very good supply of her favourite wet foods. She's not into people food at all so I had to make sure I've got lots as if worst come to worst I won't be able to share with her. She is also a strict carnivore and very fond of tuna, salmon, whitefish and shrimp with a bit of chicken and liver and very little beef though she did insist on getting some of my steak today, I was shocked but she ate it, usually she looks at me like I'm insulting her.
About the W.H.O. which is China centric, going by all the bad information they gave us, do we really want to trust them? I certainly don't.

How much Vit-C can you administer to a 19 pound dog.
Watching a Dr. from China.... Dr. Chang. Vit-C is cutting the hospital stay of an Coronavirus. They even have Vit C IV. Just to let you know. For a 140 lb person 8 GRAMS a day or 8,000mg. Will help a great deal and direct sunlight. Best of luck to you and hope you get home soon. Take care and be safe.

Great informative video, as always. For years, after walking my dogs, I soak their paws in a diluted Provodone Iodine Solution ( 1/2 teaspoon in 1.5 cups of water) for 3-4 seconds and wipe. I use a plastic container large enough for each paw to soak into (a recycled sour cream container works as I take each paw and dip - pun intended ha!) and have a bath towel under them while I do this. It's to get rid of toxins from the street like possible anti-freeze, debris, bacteria etc...during their walks. We live in a neighborhood that does not have residential sidewalks. Stay safe, everyone, including your pets.

No, I'm sorry to say, I was hardly successful. Will have try to again. And for the 3rd time! I live out of the city limits so it's a bit of trek. It's got to level off OR...
It looks like they're going to have to start trying limiting supplies somehow, even certain food staples if people DON'T start using COMMON SENSE, if there's even such a thing right now.
I think we're a ways from that at this time.
I dunno, maaaaybe it's all mandatory school closings that did this. I asked a lady with two small children what's the latest with the schools and she says they're out until summer now. Just less than 48 hours ago, it was only until the end of this month. 😳
Saw lots of moms and/or both parents with kids out shopping and don't usually see this during the day. They looked REALLY stressed. No daycare available.
One nice thing was that when I visited my favorite local herb/vitamin store(co-op you call it), it was fully stocked, it wasn't overly crowded or overwhelmed yet and customers were conducting themselves in the usual, relaxed way. There's a certain community of people that support this business and it's very refreshing. Employees were busy putting out stock, but this was nothing unusual. It's an established local small business and it's been here for years and years.
      Love ya Doc!❤

Hi doc..your still doing a great job...I need some advice on my 3 and half yr old Male collie..
Half way down his spine to his flanks and tail base he has this realy dry dirty dandruff..we are now in the fourth week of this..at first he was scratching and biting and pulling lumps of hair out...been to vets..they seem to think it’s a parasite of some kind..steroid injection and tablets that block the brain signal to the itch....that helped..and I was using neem oil on his skin..I tried coconut oil. The apple cider mix...alovera...green tea mix.
I shampooed him in a non herbicide shampoo...you name it I have tried it... I used advocate for any pathogens..horragh ..he has stopped itching..
We are a week down the line and he still has this dirty dandruff and dry skin..his overall health is good and so is his coat..although his coat is duller where the dandruff is..I have been adding veg to his diet and mackerel, or sardines..he has a top quality hypoallergenic food..
He’s not bored, he gets plenty of variety play and walks..he loves the beach and swims in the sea...although not through the winter months..
Help?!....what do you think this is..the skin it self isn’t leathery .. but sometimes has these tiny little red marks..that are slightly raised from the skin....hope you can help me ...pippa and flag....he is neutered ..could it be hormones...??
