The Senate is actually allowed to do exactly what Frank Underwood engineered in House of Cards in real life. In what's called a "live quorum," the Senate can compel those absent senators to attend the session of the Senate. So there is no protocol breach. The arrest part last happened in 1988 in regard to campaign finance reform.

I wonder if the Washington Post and the CNN don't known the difference between fiction and reality, and I make the same question to conservatives in the U. S. that don't seems to known the difference between fiction and reality, and of course, if they even bother to see the original House of Cards series of 1990, with the sequels To Play a King and The Final Cut, were the original Francis, Francis Urquhart, was a hardcore conservative, and when I say hardcore, I mean really HARDCORE, instead of posting bullshit in internet.

What's your point exactly? Fiction tends to reflect reality. Just look at 2020 and 2021. Plus there has been a number of scandals about politicians all the time. Jeffrey epstein for example and her partner. The watergate scandal and it goes on and on.

@@manormanman7092 This was six years ago, and a lot have changed since then, hell, I was in my late twenties, I was mostly complaining because I wanted the adaptation be more like the originals, but seeing this now, yeah, the adaptation was stop on, maybe that why it was sabotage, even that Spacey is a monster not doubt that, the revelations come out just when the show was really becoming popular, nothing like putting the dirty laundry of a celebrity to try to recover the image of your party, even that don't really work, a least for millennial, boomers and Generation X still drink MSNBC corporate kool-aid, that why now the U. S. have Paul Von Hindenburg as their new elected President.

      a) Stop generalizing us.
      b) Don't ever talk about our policies like that when your policies have caused people to die and for countries to collapse.
      c) We know the difference between fiction and reality.

@@pirategamer6630 Really? Then why you voted Paul Von Hindenburg as your President, not that there was much choice, a centre-right and a fascist, you sabotage the boat before the ship even sail. And what policies you are talking about? Corporate Democrats not believe in nothing other than corporate money, cliches and platitudes, basically they the bare minimum or nothing, hell, Biden did more weapons deals in his firsts days as President than actually helping the people dying the streets. But ti be honest this also what corporate news does all day, fear, fear, fear, fear, fear, at least the countries with better heath-care, the corporate news never release the amount of people that recover from the disease, all to help the establishment.
