I fell in love with this song since the first 3 seconds of it. There is something complex yet so simple in the melody and the expressiveness of Amanda, enhanced by a clever use of synthetizers blew me out of the water. Thank you for your analysis

Hey Mike! 😉 I honestly really enjoyed viewing your reaction video. Thanks for sharing your impressions of this wonderful song and for giving your personal/professional view as a music teacher on this masterpiece, I would say it is. Like others have pointed out before me, the acoustic version with choir is definitely not to be missed out on. The guys that performs in the acoustic version with choir recording posted below are fellow medical students of hers. Amanda is in her last year at medical school, gratuating shortly after the contest, to what I've heard. (I doubt that my doctor can sing like her. Who doesn't want a singing doctor, that sings like an angel, it would calm my nerves at least...🎶). It's always good to hear different versions of a song to see the full potential and see how things are done differently in different settings. I think "Die Together" is cleverly composed and one can feel that Amanda wrote these lyrics herself, and I'm thrilled that this outstanding artist is half Norwegian (like myself). Must also add that I really fancy your accent, Mike. (Wish I had an Australian accent myself, taken into consideration that I have an Australian dad...) Well, thanks for sharing. 😊👍. Thanks for taking the time, mate. 😊 Yes, Amanda is graduating in some weeks time after six years of studies, to what I heard her saying in a recent interview. In an article from last year I also read that she worked in a hospital during the pandemics in addition to her medical studies, here in Norway, which explains why one mightn't have heard too much of her music-wise at the time. Amanda seems really down to earth, caring and so friendly. When she gives interviews it seems like those interviewing her speek to a close friend, which is certainly being noticed and makes it all flow naturally. I think there are some really good artists in the competition this year. Portugal has a very strong entry as well, represented by Maro that has a unique touch to her voice that's different to Amanda's, both are just brilliant. And there are a few more as well, for certain, worth mentioning although I already said too much. And I couldn't be happier for all the participants. They're having a lifetime experience for certain, spreading joy and presenting some good music. I wish good luck to everybody, and to Australia as well, Mike, as I know you're from there 🎶. I love that you guys joined the competition.

I mean I like the song and there’s nothing generally wrong with it, I just feel like it’s pretty close to a lot of songs I hear on the radio… but that just might be because I don’t necessarily listen to songs on the radio in my free time and more just listen when someone else is listening, so I don’t get all the details.

Thanks as always 😊 there are always those radio-ish ones - I felt this was quite interesting, especially with the entire first verse and chorus being a capella. For a few of the other Eurovision ones coming up (Spain 😆), I may have been a little too diplomatic. You’ll see what I mean when it’s released! Sometimes I go a little soft knowing how many fans a particular song has.
This one though, is ending up being one of my favourites!
Get ready for an onslaught of videos though. Some I have actually not turned on notifications or publish on subscription feed for my subscribers as I don’t want to bombard people. But after around May 9 I’ll be back to 2 vids a week
