I agree with Malcolm....if Dilla was alive he would be giving us something new. Please do something with the man's music that he would have done if he was still alive. Houseshoes, J Rocc, ?uestlove, Pete Rock, Karriem Riggins, Waajeed these dude have tones of music that Jay Dee gave them...it could last 1000 light yrs.
thank you Jay Dee. still staying up trying to figure out them transposed chords and end up trying to figure out the original version and down goes another musical rabbit hole.....
Just noticed that this seems to be another example where he took a sample that's in 3/4 and turned into into a 4/4 beat. even though the accents are kinda strange by placing the snare only on the 4 instead of 2 and 4. he still makes it sound so smooth, like it was supposed to be this way. beat god all the way
CZcams get on my nerves sometimes. I found someone that posted Jaylib unreleased cuts with most of the tracks Madlib rapped on, like one of the songs Rockisforeverybody Part1 is a rare gem and it got deleted by CZcams. It's a classic in its own right.
I heard this before 2013, so why they released it as a new thing ? I'm not mad at the released just a little confused, cause I know they got mad Dilla gems we have yet to hear, it's like they doing the same shit they did with MJ, releasing greatest hits albums and throwing only one or two completely new songs on the album. Why they keep cheating out the fans, I will never know.
RIP to the 2 that was involve with this wonderful piece,,,,,,, Dilla for creating this cut and George Duke for providing his song to be sampled with!
J dilla was ahead of his time💯💯💯💯💯

Sounds like you found a hidden menu screen on a SNES joint. Dilla never dies.
this beat would fit so well in NBA Hangtime for SNES,
Man this hits the soul
