- One of Buxtehude's most famous chorale preludes on the Pentecost hymn 'Komm, heiliger Geist, Herre Gott'. Played on the Hauptwerk model of the Huis/Freytag/Lohman Organ of Noordwolde, Groningen. Years ago I recorded it on the Schnitger-Hinsz-Freytag Organ of Noordbroek with a heavier registration. This time a light registration, using the 1' Flageolet in the canfus firmus.

Such a beautiful chorale prelude by the old master Buxtehude, it is always nice to hear this North German organ music, dear Ralph!
Thanks, Roland!
Wonderful, Ralph. I particularly like the way the accompanying voices speak.
Thanks!
Without a doubt, one of my favorites! Good registration idea.
Thanks!
It’s nice to listen to your rendition of this piece after Ausra’s today’s video.❤
I will listen to it right away!
Although you have used only fluted stops, the Flageolet gives a similar effect of the top harmonics produced by (extra-)short resonator reeds, for example, Bärpfeife, Rankett, Sordun, Regal (this one with several members) and so on. The BuxWV 199, together with the 200, the Magnificats and both settings on "Nun bitten wir den heiligen Geist", "In dulci jubilo", "Puer natus in Bethlehem" and "Auf meinen lieben Gott" are my favorite ones.
Yes, it helps that it's a 1' flute, although it's an open flute, so quite loud.
Splendid!
Thanks!
Excellent playing, Ralph!
Thanks, Paul.
Wonderful Ralph!🤗👍👏👏👏
Thanks!
Again a classic. Beautiful Ralph! I want to learn this one too. But not before next Sunday! Today I recorded my first Babou! Joyful music!
Thanks, Rien!
